I was moving my home from New Hampshire to Virginia. I got three different quotes. Two of the companies went through a virtual walkthrough with me and asked me to walk through each room and tell them what was going to go. I did this with Craig Van Lines. The third company did it over a FaceTime call. We did this process for all 3 companies. 2 of them quoted based on weight, the other based on square feet. Craig Van Lines was my favorite, and I felt they would be the better choice. The price was very similar to that of other companies. One company priced far lower. I assumed they were just buying the quote and charging me for everything. They give you a quote and charge much more. The person who arrived was panicking about all the stuff in my house. He said it was way more than what would fit in his two trucks, and it was way more weight than I showed. I showed them everything that was going on and what was not going. He put me on the phone with the owner. He accused me of holding things back in the quote process, which is not true. They said they could not take everything. It put me in a bad position. The next day, the crew came. They did an outstanding job. The professionalism and the way they packed everything up, as well as their efficiency, were top-notch. Everything outside of my encounter with the owner was good. Neither of the trucks was filled while filling my trucks. After the owner said they would not take everything in my house and told me I lied to them, the trucks were not even full. They were half full. They said they did not want to go over the weight limit. I had to finish packing and get another truck, and my wife had to drive it to Virginia by herself. They gave me false information. Neither of the two trucks was overweight. They were underweight. Everything they said and did was not accurate. It caused me more stress, more money, and more time. MY wife had to drive everything to Virginia. The owner was at fault. Maybe the estimator was at fault as well. They did a great job packing my items that they did pack.

It was easy to schedule. They showed up on time. They did everything very quickly, which was nice.

I have moved 7 times in the past 7 years and have used multiple different companies. This has been the worst experience of them all. The office staff did not resolve my problems, the crew did not respectfully handle my items, put things back together, and the job was not finished. I will be telling everyone I know to steer very clear of using this company due to the lack of communication and overall care and concern for an unsatisfied customer.

I already recommended Craig Van Lines to my neighbor who is moving within the next two months.

The problem is that they lost an entire crate of my belongings. I have filed a claim, but their record-keeping is awful. I don't even know what was lost. I have not been able to unpack everything yet. They lost the base to my dining room table, my lawn mower, and the glass for my patio table. I would not recommend them.

The quote cost was close to final cost.

Fred was very professional. His weight assessment was incredibly close to the actual one. The workers were kind and took care of my belongings as if they were their own. Their prices are very good compared to others in the area.

Movers were to deliver specific items to a second dropoff. As they had exceeded the condo time limit for the first stop, they lied and told us all of the boxes were unloaded at the first stop. Instead they took over 30 boxes to the second stop and filled an entire one car garage full. They later lied and said we had designated the boxes for the second stop.

We moved many times in military and this was our first move as retirees. Craig was outstanding from the front office that helped arrange labor to assist at our destination with some things we moved to the great driver that picked up and delivered our stuff. Top shelf crew

I chose this company because I like that it is family owned and they care about their performance and clients.

My move was from Virginia to Alabama with a full house of belonging. Any move is stressful in itself, but Craig made it incredibly organized and met all my timeline requirements with no issues whatsoever. Family owned and operated. Service from start to finish was excellent. Calls always answered by a human, almost always a family member.

We couldn't have done it without your wonderful movers. They were a life saver for us to get all the basement things moved.
