This ordeal was a nightmare from the beginning. I never knew when they were coming, and if there was a schedule set, it was never kept! My garage was boarded up, so they had "anytime" access, which is why I was woke up one morning, with them walking in my attic to remove insulation.. no one bothered to let me know this was going to happen..I would not recommend this outfit to anyone!
They ruined a lot of our stuff. They were young kids that were working. They took all of the sewage water and clothes and threw them on my daughter's bed. They ruined a lot of stuff because of negligence on their end because they were young and they weren't paying attention to what they were doing. We have had a good experience and a bad experience with them.
My work was great and done in a timely, professional and respectful manner.
They were great at communicating what the next step would be. They were easy to have in my home and were professional. They did a good job at and cleaned up after themselves. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
Great to work with.
We originally worked with Seth Perry, who was fantastic. However, once he left, we had to deal with Joe Maestas, who was not only rude but never followed through with anything he told us he was going to do. He sub-contractors were sub-standard at best with only halfassed work. We had to take pictures and demand they return to fix things properly. It took them from August to December to do the work that should have taken one week. During their exterior work on our house, they damaged our water faucet and never reported it to us. Once WE found it, it took them 3 weeks to replace it. We would never recommend or use Disaster Kleenup again.
The reality is there was not a lot they could do but they did what they said they would do. We are going to end up tearing the house down because it was badly damaged by water.
I will never recommend this company to anyone.
My contact was with Seth. I reached out to him on numerous calls only to have zero communication. My insurance company reached out to higher up the food chain. It took over 3 weeks to hear from Seth. Only when his feet were held to the fire, did he contact me. The first contractor left job without a word. Will not repeat this less than stellar experience.
They were very professional and once it got down to it, they were kind and courteous and very helpful.
We went through so much and they came out and got it done. They worked with our insurance and it was almost hassle free.
Disaster Kleenup did not keep me informed on the progress of a sewer issue in a duplex that I own. It took them weeks to dry out the walls and floors with fans. My tenants couldn't use their downstairs bathroom at all. One of them had just had surgery and wasn't supposed to climb the stairs. She had to have the surgery redone because the first one didn't heal. The upstairs bathroom had the cords from the fans strung across the hallway causing another tenant to trip and hit her head on the wall. They gave me no guidance as to how long it would take the bathrooms to dry or who would do the repair work when it did finally dry. The repairman I eventually hired to fix them had to replace all the floors anyway. Plus a toilet removed from the downstairs bathroom was put outside in the freezing cold and snow. It cracked and had to be replaced.
Disaster Kleenup crew was courteous and professional. They kept costs down, but still did an excellent job.
After a kitchen fire, Disaster Kleenup's response was swift and efficient. Seth was on the scene at the earliest possible time, and his cleaning personnel came in and made the place at least liveable (and extremely clean) right away.. All of DK's contractors have a long term relationship with DK, and it shows. They are fast, professional, and work very well together. As the work transitioned from clean up to repair, it was seamless and efficient. Extremely high quality workmanship as well! I would definitely recommend this outfit!
Really hard to reach them and no response to my phone call, text and emails. Recovery was not complete and no further actions taken from them.
The company left my floor ripped up for over a month which I had to navigate pregnant. They did not give a timeline as to when the new floor installation would be completed. After living in a torn up and disheveled kitchen while pregnant for nearly a month (difficult to walk over uneven torn up subfloor), the company finally scheduled the new floors to be installed. The install was done professionally, however they did not complete the trim work and we had to schedule another time to have it completed. I will never go through this company again.
If your disaster isn't enough and you want more problems, call Disaster Kleenup. Our house and property sustained $80,000 worth of damage FROM DISASTER KLEENUP after our fire. None of our property was documented or inventoried, even the items they threw out. We fired Disaster Kleenup mid-mitigation process because they were so awful. They were unresponsive to requests from us to return missing property and unwilling to take responsibility for their actions. Avoid this company at all costs.
