It was a seamless process.
They were great individually, we were just frustrated by the overall length of time it took and some of the communication challenges along the way.
Area Of Satisfaction - I am most satisfied that it wasn't as much as I originally thought.
Area For Improvement - They did not fall short at all.
Area Of Satisfaction - Our representative/technician was remarkable. He explained everything we needed to know throughout the entire process and really went above and beyond to make us feel comforted in the middle of a disaster.
Area Of Satisfaction - I appreciated the professional way I was treated by all employees of Disaster Cleanup Specialists and Allstate Insurance Company.

The crew was great from beginning to end. The only one thing that I had an issue with was Disaster not responding back on an update on the product that was damaged. The response I got back from the supervisor was, "I can't micromanage everyone to have everything done". I was not satisfied with that response because my clothing was damaged and was not compensated for. The overall aspect regarding cleaning the house and moving the products in and out of the house was excellent work; but as far as them giving an update on damaged product, I would give them a 0.
My Disaster Kleenup exoerience was terrible! Nothing was scheduled properly, & the work sat idle for much longer than was reasonable. The office staff were curt and uncooperative; they forged my signature to insurance checks without my permission. In my experience, DKS cared only about getting paid by my insurance company. They could not possibly have cared less about me.
The employees of Disaster Kleenup were especially knowledgeable, professional and all a pleasure to deal with. The work they performed was well done.
Our first experience was great. We did have to make a followup call to try to get some help about a cabinet to be moved and did not receive a call-back with an appt though. While I would use them again in a heartbeat, I know now to be on top of the front off of when I will receive a call back and such.
They were very thorough and did a wonderful job!
My project started on September 7, 2015 and 7 months later it has not been completed. Money has been paid, and work is not done. After being handed off to multiple project managers and over a dozen different people coming to the house to check status/evaluate what needs to be done, we're still not done. My hardwood floors were put back in January and the job was so terrible; there are cracks, they are uneven and you can see the lining underneath. I called the project manager at the time (he is no longer with company) and was told they would rectify the situation. Here we are almost 4 months later and nothing more has been done.
Cabinet issue has not been resolved.
They do not communicate well, and do not follow through with promises. The people that they send, are not really good at what they do. Occasionally they do have someone that will take a bit of responsibility but they tend to be unresponsive and do a very poor job. The project managers change very often, they have a very big turn around of employees which causes miscommunication with the new staff and they never know whats going on with your project.
It's a very small repair, communication has been a big issue. Too much waiting, not sure when the task or specific will be done when. Now actual repair is done, but with a small new hole in wall & inconsistent painting qualilty in living room, and closet door guide is yet outback in it's place. There's a air gape below air condition unit outside wall. Text/called Tom Gonzales(?) for weeks and are yet fixed. Every time call, he can't talk. The repair is small and speed has been too slow! Will call my insurance company.
I Have only had a very good experience with this company thus far....Have a few weeks to go before my home is back together after a great deal of water damage due to a fallen tree , wind and rain ..... Each of the Specialists I have delt with are so helpful and knowledgeable...very courteous...Thank you Disaster Kleenup
Disaster Kleenex Specialist left us with a fan on in our bathroom for an entire week when 2-3 days would have been plenty. We felt neglected and forgotten for far too long.
DKS needs to assign a single person as a point of contact for the job so you know to whom to talk. As it is now a different person is assigned for each part of the job and not one person is responsible for the entire job and schedule. SThis makes it very difficult on the customer to know what and when each aspect of the job will occur.
I found every part of their work satisfactory. They are willing to please and very good about cleanup.
