Work quality was so so, and they are WAY OVERPRICED. They will keep trying to find ways to charge you more, sell you work orders / change orders, and also tried many times to charge me to fix/service issues from their work within the first year.

We have been extremely happy with the work FBN has done so far. The quality of work, employees and subcontractors has been excellent. They've problem-solved the inevitable issues that have come up in a renovation of an old building and they were able to think creatively to solve unusual issues.

We have had many different contractors over the years and I've learned to finally differentiate the good from the poor. FBN sets the bar at a new height for fantastically good. The construction of our new deck is 1000% better than anything we could have imagined. It's not done yet and already we are getting compliments.

FBN is a great teammate throughout the design/planning and construction processes. They were very respectful of our neighbors and kept us up to date on all phases of construction. This is a vacation home for us, so we weren't close by during the construction process.

We can’t say enough about every single person who walked through our door on behalf of FBN to assist with our bathroom renovation. They are the best in the business and we’d recommend them to anyone asking for a renovation project…big or small. Even if there was a minor wrinkle which can always happen..especially with an 1885 Victorian…the FBN team responded immediately and addressed it. We looked forward to their team arriving daily..and actually miss having them buzz around the house!

Not only was the project completed on time, it was under the estimated budget.

Outstanding quality and efficiency

I found it very easy to work with FBN. The staff is professional, friendly, and respectful of my time,. They communicate in a timely manner. Their work is excellent!

We have worked with many contractors over the years, but we cannot imagine working with anyone else. The quality of work, attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to honestly work out the inevitable challenges that crop up in any large project set FBN apart from others. Also, a small but important detail: The orderliness and tidiness of the work site was so consistent and remarkable that visitors during construction (architects, designers, etc.) always noticed and commented.

FBN managed a major renovation for us - while we were 1000 miles away. They kept us informed, sent us photos, solicited our feedback when needed but didn't barrage us with lots of unnecessary details. A great team and a great reno.

FBN Construction did a fine job with our kitchen remodel in our South End condo. Working in the city can be tough and they handled it well.

The tile work was inadequate in that the shower floor did not drain the water. The stale odor was a constant daily reminder. Frustration? You bet. We sold the apartment after spending $100k for the bathroom remodel with FBN.

Overall good and timely work.

I cannot sufficiently praise FBN for the outstanding quality of their work in completely renovating my condominium. Every aspect of their work was of the highest quality. My condominium is located in a nine story brick building built in 1925. The building's construction presented many challenges. However, FBN's staff solved every problem in a timely manner. In addition, the staff offered suggestions that were very insightful and were a value added to the project. I would recommend FBN, without reservation, to anyone seeking construction done to a quality standard that one rarely sees any more.

Although early in the construction process, FBN has met/exceeded our expectations in many aspects. As one of us is an interior designer, another a former architect, they are absolutely on the same page with our design intent, and we recognized that quality during our selection process and is ultimately why we hired them.Their organization skills are impeccable - detailed project plans, meeting minutes, careful budget tracking. The communication channels have been outstanding (nod to Dani and Larissa) as well. Their quality of sub-contractors so far have been very remarkable, we are overall pleased by their professionalism and enthusiasm to be working on our project.

Additional Comments - FBN has done a number of projects for us starting in 1994 from a larger kitchen project to smaller ones. Their perfectionism in making sure that the job is done right with highest quality materials and subcontractors and attention to daily cleanup and minimizing mess in the rest of the house stand out . They also are mindful of our budget when selecting materials and other options. We will never consider having anyone else work on our home.
