Recognized Excellence - Tara and James did an excellent job helping us design our dream basement. They did a great job making sure we stayed on schedule and within budget. Their design choices were perfect and always exactly what we were looking for. Bruce was extremely helpful and involved with our basement project throughout the whole process. He took the time to ensure that every aspect of the project, from the layout to the finishing touches, was carefully planned and executed. It was clear that he genuinely cared about the quality of the work and the outcome of the project. Beth did a phenomenal job cleaning every square inch of our basement. I was so impressed with her attention to detail. The carpenter who worked on our basement was always respectful and diligent while working. He did a fantastic job with everything he worked on. From the painters, to floor insulation, plumbing, and drywall insulators who entered our home; everyone was always so respectful and impressive. We have nothing but great things to say about everyone who helped work on our dream basement!

Since we were out of town for the entirety of the project, communication was important. Gabor communicated with Paul and me if any problems arose. They were very accommodating, flexible, and professional.

Communication was poor; multiple requests for updates went unanswered. Timeline was more than triple (7m vs 2m) what we were quoted. Initial design plan was not well-thought out, we felt that we had to lead the design process ourselves. Multiple detail oriented issues were brought up throughout design and construction process that were either forgotten, ignored, or pooh-pooh'ed. Issues from day 1 with demo were not addressed until 6 months into the project (broken light shade) and only after we brought up the issue repeatedly. Grout color in 1/2 bath was done in wrong color despite multiple conversations regarding that issue. Demo in the primary bedroom was not completed at initial demo (crown molding), we had to repeatedly bring this up throughout construction. We had to pay extra, outside of our quoted price, to re-finish floors in one of the BRs that work was completed in. The closet we added to the main floor was without a light (we missed this detail in the design portion) and we requested a quote for a change order during construction when we realized our error and never received one despite multiple requests. I could go on, but I think this short list of issues is representative of our overall frustration with communication and execution related to our project.

Excellent team to work with on our kitchen project. Communication was effective and efficient throughout whole process! All subcontractors were awesome, polite, hardworking, and efficient. Our project manager had our back and is such a good person. Highly recommend.

We we were very satisfied with almost every aspect of this project. In particular, highly effective was the design team which well detailed the project and anticipated all the building codes. Also, highly effective was the project manager. Always calm and polite, the manager had an effective solution for every problem except one. The shower pan, the "main event" for this bathroom remodel, arrived at the job site some two weeks late.

Gabor reportedly has all the critical components on hand before commencing a project. Not true for this project. The delay meant that various contractors had to be rescheduled. Despite the project manager's valiant efforts to reschedule contractors, this project was perhaps 1.5 times longer than had been projected.

The communication with this project was nowhere near what it was with our first project with Gabor.

The Gabor team was an excellent choice for our bathroom remodel project. The full design services through the installation were exactly what we needed.

This was a pleasant experience without hassle. We appreciate the designer, Linda and the project manager, Nick.

Gabor was much more affordable than other companies we talked to. Very detailed about all the materials needed and how long the project would take. Very concerned about doing it right and making sure we were happy with the results.

They were very professional and the fact that they have a totally turn key service is highly attractive.

60% of the process was good, but the remaining 40% was rough. The original completion date was early May, but we didn't finish until late August. Our project manager had to contend with supply chain issues and COVID, which is understandable. The communication was less than ideal. It started out with weekly emails, but that turned into monthly and then became non-existent. Towards the end I was managing the project manager to get things done. While this was ultimately resolved when the PM was let go/quit and Adam took over, this took too long.

We would recommend Gabor on a great experience with constructing our project. We also have a little hesitancy recommending Gabor based on how our design ideas were overlooked and dismissed as "looking dated". We have mixed feelings with recommending Gabor without adding additional information about our experience.

This project was our second project with GABOR Design Build and we continue to be impressed with the high level of organization and open line of communication with the designers and builders. I personally have recommended GABOR to at least 5 colleagues and explained the process and how happy we were with the results.

The subject doesn't come up a lot but if asked, I would not hesitate to recommend Gabor to a friend or family member.

I was happy with the in-house team. I am less happy with the work that happened before the on-site team began. I would recommend the team that is on-site every day. My issue is with the team that did the design and pre-project work on the home.

I found Gabor Design Build to be a good company to work with for my complete bathroom remodel. I had a firm timeline due to my grand daughter's wedding and Christmas, and they fulfilled my request by starting the day I needed them, and walking away from my perfectly completed project on the day necessary for my schedule. I found them to be honest, sincere, and provide quality workmanship.

Initially very supportive and helpful, but as the process went on, it seemed like Gabor didn't care about the job or process. It has been 4 months since they finished and we still haven't heard from anyone at Gabor thanking us for the business or to see if they are any problems. It seems like our job was a small job for them and they assigned us their lower tier contractors, like the work flooring guy and finish contractor, the errors that had to be corrected, too many to count. We are having some electrical issues but I don't know if they would even review since we haven't had any contact in 4 months. No follow up on their part. I would have a hard time recommending them.

We were very pleased with our bathroom remodel experience. They stuck to their original schedule. They promptly addressed any questions or concerns we had. The workers were prompt, courteous and professional. The designer was very helpful when we made our selections. We are very happy with our new bathroom and will recommend Gabor to others.

Gabor Design Build did and an excellent job with assistance in design and construction, as well as finalizing the issues that occurred. I am very satisfied with the way they resolved the issues.

From design to build, the entire process with Gabor was as "enjoyable" as living through construction can be. Tara, our designer, stayed within our budget and listened to our feedback on the tile/fixtures/lighting etc. options she presented, so that we ended up with selections we loved and could afford. Shane, our project manager, was in constant communication with us and the subcontractors, came to see the work for himself regularly, and did everything in his power to keep the project on schedule. We couldn't have asked for anything more from either of them. And our bathroom turned out BEAUTIFULLY -- even better than envisioned.

Have already recommended them to 4 people with planned projects, one of whom has signed a contract with Gabor.

Our bathroom remodels turned out beautifully and we were overall satisfied with our experience.

Gabor did an incredible job. Worked with 'existing' fireplace mantle and 'structure' as to 'save' on material costs. They were very willing to incorporate 'my' ideas and offered a 'range' of products that 'I' could chose from that would fit into a specific budget range. Everyone from Tara, to Nathan to the entire team was so friendly!! I will definitely hire them again for future projects!
