I have told our neighbors from our old neighborhood to come live here, as well as family members and friends.

Do not rectify issues with faulty systems. Terrible customer service. Sub-contractors are not consistent with Garman requirements or their own when investigating issues. There were red flags but we didn’t know until after purchase- like saying there was a deck off the back but by definition it was a balcony (a deck has an exit). We pressed the issue and it was only resolved by us paying a fee to fix. This is not the only misrepresentation that occurred. In our listing and from the Garman realtor, it said that our house was the last in phase 9 of the development…. This is not correct. Two more houses were completed after ours to finish out that phases. Also, our home is the only one in the development without stone in the front. When questioned during a HOA meeting and asked customer service it was said that if they continue to have questions have them reach out. I will add that the last two homes in phase 9 also have stone in the front.

This is the 4th home I have built, and Garman took the time to do things right. They were organized and efficient throughout the build process and took care of any issues that arose.

Once the warranty claim was submitted, they never came to inspect the issue. We still have cracks on our basement floor.

The experience from start to finish was very well done. All involved kept us in the loop through the process and updates of the build. The follow through afterward to finalize the puchlist was very much appreciated.

Garman Builders was excellent to work with. Coming in from out-of-state and needing some flexibility with loan options and the timing of the sale of our out-of-state house, Garman was incredibly flexible. We felt like they were always willing to help and find a reasonable solution. As with any build I assume, issues arise, but each time, Garman worked out a reasonable solution with us. We heard the legend from multiple sources — "Garman never misses a deadline" — while hearing from others — "no builder hits the date they give you"... and in the end, Garman had us in our house on the date they originally gave us. The two key roles for us were Design and Project Management. Both were excellent! Kristen, the designer was key in taking our vision from a few photos from Pinterest and turning it into our dream home. There were even multiple times on her days off where she kept communication with us while sorting out details to keep us on schedule. After design, Ian, the project manager took the lead and was excellent as well. He was a great guy, easy to talk to, very knowledgable and trustworthy. His attention to detail was spectacular. And never missed a deadline! The final orientation and walkthrough was very appreciated as well. Overall, we couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Garman Builders!

Overall, we are very satisfied with Garman Builders. We built our home while living in Western PA. Our trips back and forth were productive and we received timely responses every time we had a question. I must admit, we didn't always like the answer we were given and we did not push back. Anything that we had concerns about during construction generally were handled to our satisfaction.

We love our Monroe home! The floor plan works really well for us and makes entertaining a breeze. No wasted space, which is exactly what we wanted in a new build!

They're a great builder.

There were a lot of times we were unhappy, and also times the service was great. Being told by the project manager to "trust the process" was only viewed as condecending as rain water poured down the walls of our house that was under roof and scheduled to be drywalled the next day. Had we not been there to see the house, the issue would have gone unnoticed and damaged our newly drywalled home.

The third-party contractors were not satisfactory. It has been a year, and a contractor is coming today to fix the tub for the third time.

My husband and I really appreciated how professional and organized Garman Builders were throughout this entire process. We did have some issues with our townhome that were quickly resolved. We are very pleased with the finished product.

Garman Builders is one of the more reputable builders in our area. Communication is exceptional. Their craftsmanship and customer service are extraordinary.

The house is gorgeous, well laid out, and the building timeline was thorough. Our biggest hiccup just came in delays in communication with our sales rep. Overall we would still highly recommend Garman.

Overall, it was an excellent experience. The true measure of a partner is how they respond to issues and problems. No project is without them. It easy to be happy happy, friendly, and satisfies when everything is going fine. Its another story when problems pop up. Building a home during the pandemic its own special challenges From top to bottom, Garman dealt with every problem, hurdle, and issue with practicality, fairness, and professionalism. The result of our experience with Garman is a beautiful, high quality, well built home that we thoroughly enjoy. Everyone who has visited our home has complimented it highly.

Bought a model home

We had an excellent experience throughout the buying process. The design team was great in helping us to replace backordered flooring that matched our room designs when they experienced supply chain issues. Great service and we appreciated the people we worked with from start to finish.

I was extremely disappointed with the fact that management within Garman refused my request to close early due to open items that clearly could have been completed in time for an early close (I was only requesting to close 5 days early so that my family could get moved in prior to our son starting his first day at a new school since we lived an hour away).I personally had no problem dealing with the situation however it was more than disruptive and upsetting to my wife and son which then in turn created disruption for me. I believe management should be trained to identify when an opportunity presents itself to create true customer satisfaction (and a raving fan) and not let power, ego or rules stand in the way. Unfortunately Garman missed the opportunity create raving fans in this situation.

I think that they did their business right. They communicated very well. Everyone was very professional. I appreciated the commitments that put me in a good house.

Everybody I have dealt with at Garman from Vicki all the way to Sue has been great to deal with during our time. There are some things that I wish I had know then when I know now, including more information on what to expect from the lot once it is complete, meaning are we going to be able to have a patio or will it require a deck, or what the grading will do as far as slope. Should I invest in a dual zone cooling/heating? The answer is yes. Why was a 3rd car garage or attached shop not an option for this floor plan with front loading? Another issue is investing in the plumbing rough-ins for the basement before I am able to design the basement and not having a scaled floor plan to use to figure out exactly how to lay it out, now looking at relocating the shower and sink rough-ins to fit in the bathroom configuration. It would also be great if somebody recommended having a window on the one side of the house as I now have a large white covered side with no ability to let in natural light or at the very least break up the solid white siding. Speaking of which a great thing to offer is the ability to see your house with the colors and materials you choose so you can see what you are buying before you make your final decisions. I actually had to use the PDF of the elevation I was given and I added my materials and colors for myself using photoshop. I was told this is not an option but would love to see that being offered in the future for other looking to build.

Loved the building process itself with Garman - the year follow up afterwards was not enjoyable. Garman is quick to point the finger and not want to address issues, it was highly frustrating.

Overall, we are happy with the design and layout of the house. Communication could have been better throughout the process, from the time we met with the realtor through the building of the house and with follow-ups for repairs. Attention to detail seemed to be an area of concern as there were a number of issues we discovered that we feel should have been discovered by the builder throughout the process.
