High cost, problems with initial Program Manager (see below in Process)

We have mixed feelings about Harrell and whether to recommend them. We love the design of our masterbath remodel and enjoyed working with the key people on the project. Everyone who sees the room is wow'd. However, Harrell was probably a bit like using a blow torch to make S'mores and why we love the outcome and we enjoyed the process or working with someone of their caliber, I would only recommend them to someone doing a bigger home remodel and not a bathroom unless they weren't concerned about the budget.

I have had nothing but wonderful responses from Harrell Design + Build. They built my house several years ago and still work on it. I love the company.

After 6 month of the bathroom remodeling, with first major rain, we are experiencing a leak which happened last night.....

The build portion and sub contractors were great, I did not like being assigned a designer of their choosing.I prefer to work with an independent designer in the future.

Harrell does good quality work. It's expensive though. It may be true that you get what you pay for, but most of our friends wouldn't be able to afford to work with Harrell.

All of our expectations were met and exceeded!

The work was very good. The price was not clear. We were told it would cost a certain amount on the contract, but we were charged thousands of dollars extra after the contract was signed. It was only to do half of a bathroom. The only change order was for dry rock and an upgrade on the flooring.

Very professional from beginning to end of project; very creative in the design phase, very organized in the construction phase. Finished on time and on budget. I couldn't be more pleased with their work!

Harrell Remodeling is a rare business in their industry, where you are treated as more of a partner on your project instead of as a client, and where getting the job done right is more important than getting the job done quickly. The best praise I can provide is that I feel like Harrell's team treated my project as their own, always trying to do what would end up providing the best result while keeping in mind how different options would impact time and cost. If some materials or work showed up in an unsatisfactory state, Harrell's team took it upon themselves to correct it. I especially appreciated their understanding and embracing of my goals, and the corresponding creative effort they put in to reach those goals.

They couldn't even manage to mount the upper cabinets directly above the lower ones and the ends of the counters were out of line with the ends of the opposing counters which were less than four feet away.

They did a good job but they are a bit expensive.

We chose Harrell as a "one stop shopping" solution providing premium quality, timeliness, and professionalism. They met these expectations and delivered in a number of areas beyond what was specified in our agreement. We are delighted with our family room/powder room/pantry remodel!
