After 6 month of the bathroom remodeling, with first major rain, we are experiencing a leak which happened last night.....

The build portion and sub contractors were great, I did not like being assigned a designer of their choosing.I prefer to work with an independent designer in the future.

Harrell does good quality work. It's expensive though. It may be true that you get what you pay for, but most of our friends wouldn't be able to afford to work with Harrell.

I recommend Harrell and the Superintendent on my job was excellent.

Harrell was recommended to me as a full service design and build. On this project, I wanted a company to take care of all the subs and potential problems. The work was very good. The price was not clear. We were told it would cost a certain amount on the contract, but we were charged thousands of dollars extra after the contract was signed. It was only to do half of a bathroom. The only change order was for dry rock and an upgrade on the flooring.

Very professional from beginning to end of project; very creative in the design phase, very organized in the construction phase. Finished on time and on budget. I couldn't be more pleased with their work!

Harrell Remodeling is a rare business in their industry, where you are treated as more of a partner on your project instead of as a client, and where getting the job done right is more important than getting the job done quickly. The best praise I can provide is that I feel like Harrell's team treated my project as their own, always trying to do what would end up providing the best result while keeping in mind how different options would impact time and cost. If some materials or work showed up in an unsatisfactory state, Harrell's team took it upon themselves to correct it. I especially appreciated their understanding and embracing of my goals, and the corresponding creative effort they put in to reach those goals.

They couldn't even manage to mount the upper cabinets directly above the lower ones and the ends of the counters were out of line with the ends of the opposing counters which were less than four feet away.

They did a good job but they are a bit expensive.

The people at Harrell Remodeling are very professional and have high quality standards. I was looking for a company that I could really trust to do the job right. They remodeled two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and our family room. It was very useful to have the designer and the builders within the same company. Sara, my designer, is fun to work with and was full of good ideas. I ended up with a remodel better than what I had been thinking of before talking to her. For instance, she found several ways to bring more natural light into the master bathroom. In fact, she won a regional design competition for my master bath. She also knows a great deal about the building codes in my area. She was always tracking the project during the construction and would continue to consult, solve problems, and resolve issues such as when the company making the vanity had a fire and shut down for a time. Sara quickly gave me more choices to consider and got us back on track. Patrick, the lead carpenter was a real stickler for quality and would correct any work that didn't seem perfect even when I never noticed the issue such as when a tile person didn't make the best choice in aligning a few small shower entrance edge tiles. Dee was a super project manager who would answer all my questions and keep the timeline on track as much as possible.

My husband, who is allergic to any thought of construction, could not have been more pleased with the professional work Harrell Remodeling did. He was blown away by workers arriving EARLY for work, for all materials showing up on time, on their tidiness, and even on the work being completed a week before it was scheduled to be. He's happily ready for the next project!

Couldn't be happier with my new master bathroom and walk-in closet. Harrell did a fabulous job from start to finish.

Areas Of Satisfaction - I was satisfied that I didn't really feel that I ever had to worry about anything. I didn't ever feel that I had to worry and if there were issues the solution that was agreed upon, if there was something that happened that we didn't expect they spoke to me about it and it was a collaborative project in every sense of the word. I am a money manager and trust is a major word and so hard to define and I trusted them completely.

Lead Source - They are a well known company in the Palo Alto, California area. Iris Harrel that founded the company is a member of the Women Association for Business Owners I first heard about her in the late 1990's for things she did in the community. It is not hard to stand out if you are a woman running a construction company. I first heard about her while working at the bank I was at at the time. I knew all of that but I didn't think they would take on a project as small as mine which turned out to be not so small of a project. How I re-heard of her was from another contractor with whom I have worked with before. It was Slaughterbeck Floors.
