The final product is beyond our dreams. We wake up every day and look at it in awe. Our original house, which HDR converted to open-concept, now matches the style and elegance of the addition that was built 25 years ago. HDR worked with our vision and budget. They were professional, reliable, and kept us apprised. We would happily work with HDR again and recommend them to others.

This is our second large remodel with HDR. A few years ago they renovated the top floor of our house, and we recently had them back to work on the basement where we carved out a new bedroom from a family room, enlarged closets, added steps, installed new doors and windows, completely gutted and built a new bathroom, added built-in bookcases, and installed new oak trim throughout. It was a large, 4 month construction project. They're not the cheapest out there, but paying a little more buys a lot of peace of mind. The workmanship is excellent and the project (outside of our own change orders) was on time and on budget.

Areas For Improvement - They didn't. I call them on a last ditch thing. Didn't know if I needed a handyman or a contractor and I didn't know if he could access it for me. It turned out to be a large problem. I had a leaky roof and dry rot was occurring. He not only accessed it, but he had people here on time. They were very timely and got me in at the proper time.

I am very happy with my new bathroom. It was supposed to be a guest bath but I like it so much that I use it often. The designers worked with me to lighten the room and provide the special features I wanted such as a soaking tub and luxury tiles, while staying within my budget. The work was carried out on schedule. It was well-organized and neat, without much inconvenience.

My house has some unusual aspects such as slightly sloping floors. The work they did helped to make these flaws less visible and minimize their impact on the appearance of the new spaces to the absolute greatest degree possible.

With the caveats of better articulating budget and responsibilities of the homeowner, I have overall been please with HDR's professionalism and commitment to delivering a quality project and addressing any concerns quickly.

I do recommend HDR. Mostly I had a positive experience with them. Very friendly and professional and I felt that we know each other at individual level.

Working with the design team at HDR is an excellent experience.

The HDR team turned a large, old garage of mine into a lovely functional and flexible living space. They confronted and successfully dealt with the numerous obstacles. There were many challenges in working with the site, its zoning and in working with local officials. The project couldn't have happened without their creativity, flexibility and persistence. They kept me well informed throughout and were able to work with both my lack of experience in construction matters and my periodic absences.

My kitchen was straight out of the 80's. It was the kind of kitchen where you walk in and exclaim, "Where's Blanche, Rose, Sophia and Dorothy?!" My building is from 1924 and I wanted to modernize my kitchen but at the same time return it to its classic roots. HDR offered me various options and designs that best fit my needs. They *listened* to me. So key! After we initially conveyed our vision, I never felt we were not on the same page. And I was impressed their whole crew was in sync with my aesthetic. I rarely saw the crew, I left in the morning for work and would return at 10pm. I didn't need to micromanage at all. If anything came up, they kept me in the loop. True professionals. It's so rare to find contractors who understand form, function & customer service. My kitchen went from drab to fab seamlessly!
