Overall the process was great. We loved working with Andrew. He is very detail oriented and responsive. During our walk through the warranty gentleman told us we would get information on the septic system after we closed. After we closed and met with the septic company, we were advised the tanks were too small to support this size of house and number of occupants. Additionally, the septic service tech advised me the system wasn’t even functioning as it didn’t have power. He re-wire the box at no charge. So our system was not on and functioning the first 10 days we were there. We had no idea either since our inspector wasn’t allowed to test it. For this reason I would not recommend Home Creations. We were not allowed to have our 3rd party inspector review it or get information from the septic company prior to closing. We would have insisted home creations put in the proper size tanks. Now we are stuck with a system that constantly runs through out the day with no notice. This affects our children’s ability to play in the backyard, which was the main reason we wanted this home. Also our yard maintenance company when they come mow. Also, the door bell doesn’t work. It will not stay connected to the wifi. I would prefer to have a Ring doorbell, which I would be willing to pay for if Home Creations would install at no charge. As a suggestion, the floor plans should be reworked to have the laundry room on the outside wall and vented directly outside. Dryers are not made to vent with 90 degree turns. The user manual to new dryer specifications state they must not exhaust into a chimney, wall, ceiling, an attic, or crawl space. With all the 90 degree turns and long exhaust line it trips the sensors inside the dryer and it shuts off because hot moist air comes back down the line.
Several functional details regarding my new home are less than expected.
We found some things after moving in. Nothing is perfect. The experience was good; there were just a few things in the building process that the subcontractors could have done better at.
To be frank, I thought I would've been a lot happier after purchasing this home. The quality of the construction and trim work like I said was great. I think they can definitely build a $500K+ home easily. The delivery was crap. Realizing the yard needs to be graded ( more money out of my pocket) to achieve my goal of building a driveway to a shop, almost rolling my ankle to take out the trash. I have a 10 degree slope on the side of my house that they knew my goal was to have a shop behind the house; which was also their big selling point. The doors that you can't push open unless you want the paint to peel off, to even taking delivery of my home that wasn't cleaned. I've bought cheaper used cars that came with a better detail and delivery service than I received moving into this home. If I use an amazon package or my leg to nudge the door forward, because my hands are full, it'll peel the paint off the front. Also, I'm not a new home buyer but I am new to a septic system. Its been over a month and no one has reached out to give us the run down on how we should maintain it. But whatever. My family is moved in and we're living, but it wasn't the "signature" experience I expected buying a home of this caliber. I'll give it 3 stars because the home is livable but i think thats pushing it
Absolutely you did a great job see my suggestions to improve on a few minor details.
Home Creations needs to get their act together. The person in charge needs to step up their game, because they are not organized.
The service is good.
Good place to find a starter home and already be within a community
Home creations lied to us. There is no sprinkler loop, this home was completed before we went into contract. They told us they could only give us 200 dollars. They pay 650 per sprinkler loop. The salesman said he could then only give us 200 gift cards because of the books. I bet Home Creations got their money back from the plumbing company. Lairs and frauds
The overall experience was fantastic. Chris was our salesperson and was extremely informative, friendly, and professional. He kept us updated as our house was being built with progress pictures, which improved the experience. Wes was our builder, and he sent us regular progress pictures, was kind and professional, and answered all of our questions promptly. Gale gave us our house tour, and he was highly informative, experienced, and polite. He was patient with me as I had my toddler with me and explained everything about the house, including every crack (literally, lol). The closing process was easy, and the house turned out beautifully and exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend Home Creations.
Home Creations builder and customer service folks were very responsive and met my expectations.
Excellent experience!
I will recommend them.
I am likely to recommend Home Creations to a friend because they take time to have you find the right home. I went to visit a house I saw online, and I didn't like it. The agent took the time to walk me through all the neighborhoods and show me around the other houses. He quickly understood what my needs were and what I would like. I didn't have to explain so much, and by our third visit, that was it! I give a special thanks to the agent who took me around visiting houses.
I now have a beautiful and affordable home in a very nice neighborhood. Everything met or exceeded my expectations.
My business partner is a Veteran, like I am. They will be closing on the home down the road from me. I did recommend them, and this is also my second Home Creations home.
I would definitely recommend Home Creations. Especially, to first time home buyers. I was so overwhelmed and confused prior to Stride Mortgage and Home Creations. They worked together to keep me informed and educated throughout the entire process.
Every one is nice and pleasant but the excuses to justify poor construction quality are unacceptable. I feel like it’s more so the subcontractors but I would expect more accountability of them on HC’s part. No completed brand new home should have ice forming on the interior wall sheetrock for any reason. To me it means moisture issues which in turn means mold/health concerns eventually. Not okay!
From the minute we pulled up to the house for a viewing to the day we walked in with keys in hand, we've had a wonderful experience with Home Creations. Kurt was very welcoming, knowledgable, and gave us a lot of confidence in working with Home Creations as a business. The builders created a beautiful house that we call 'Home'. Also, I was very pleased with the way that all of the parties involved had collaborated to make sure we were able to get into our home as quickly as possible.
They were easy to work with.
If I recommended Home creations, I would have the potential homebuyers check specifically for items I mentioned as unacceptable.
Home Creations I would say is average.
They have been really great, and the rate buy down was really helpful.
Very responsive and professional staff
Ask how long your home has sat after being constructed and near completion. Don't trust the builder. Talk to homeowners in the neighborhood you are interested in and ask them about their experience with their new home. Ask if they had it built or if it was already built.
