We bought the house brand new. However, the paint is just primer, and the floor is just plastic. The floor has bumps all over because I don't think they took out the concrete underneath. The quality of the home is pretty low compared to the price. There is a lot of stuff that I see that is not the way I thought it was going to be prior to moving in.
Before buying the house I used to like the floor plan now that we live in the house we don’t only like but love and understand that is like everything in this house has been made for us
I definitely recommend Glenwood Homes, the house is stable and well constructed. I like all the features and material used and the location.
Communication is hard to get.
Everything was great, no issues at all.
I already recommended Glenwood Homes to someone who is about to close in the next few months.
I would absolutely tell people to stay away from Glenwood homes. The workmanship is poor, they are not customer focused at all. They do not follow through with what they say they are going to do.
I have been impressed with Glenwood Homes. Not sure I got the best deal on the house, but I am pleased. I have contacted Glenwood Homes a few times and they have either answered the phone or returned my email in a timely manner. All the people I have dealt with have been very friendly and helpful. I have only been in my new house a couple of months but I feel safe and secure.
I’m very pleased with the floor plan, the design, the extra measures taken in the build to make it safer, and the response of the Glenwood team when I have questions/concerns. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Glenwood Homs to a friend.
Overall, I had an amazing experience.
Overall a great experience.
Everything went very well during the first 30 days. From sales to completion all promises were completed as promised.
In the first 2 weeks we have had a plumber and the AC people out twice.
Everyone was kind and courteous towards me. They listened and and did what they said they would do in a very timely manner. They worked hard to make me happy.
We feel the quality of the interior, the cosmetic things—Glenwood Homes does not seem to take pride in their work. There are a lot of little issues. For the price of the house, you would think it would be of better quality. We had some things fixed at our 60-day warranty, and we will turn in more under our 11-month warranty. There are some things they refuse to fix. We just had a big patio poured because it came with a small patio, which we knew. However, the patio was so uneven that the people who extended it had to bust up the existing one and redo the entire thing. It is just stuff like that. It does not seem like they take a lot of pride in their work.
Overall I love the location, neighborhood and my home. There are many smaller issues the company doesn’t appear to care about after the sale. Some things can wait until the “11 month review” others cannot wait, yet the company appears non responsive.
Glenwood Homes was very patient with my process, even though I had problems with the bank and it took longer than expected. They didn't charge extra fees, and they were so cooperative.
The experience with Glenwood Homes was very smooth, and they were accommodating. Great quality home.
I would not recommend Glenwood Homes to a friend. They are a cheap builder with bad customer service.
Lily was an excellent sales person for Glenwood!
Glenwood Homes is very irresponsible.
Sometimes there's one person who can ruin the whole experience, but everyone has been great.
They've been wonderful and perfect.
I like the quality of their homes. The things that needed to be corrected were done in a timely manner.
They’re better than Shaw but that’s not saying much.
They were terrible to work with. No one knew anything. We have several issues with the home that we can't get fixed.
Audra and Mark were amazing BUT trying to get things fixed under warranty is a fight. I am almost 2 years in and cannot get anything fixed. Broken garage, leaks, etc. Do not build.
They don't complete things in time.
The move-in-ready homes I recommend, but if it's still under construction, I might not recommend it to my friends because of how long it takes.
This entire building process was a nightmare for me and this was the first home I ever purchased. It seems that the departments did not communicate between each other. I signed my contract January 2021 and did not close until 3/30/22 and as of 5/9/22 I have still not been able to fully move in due to works still needing to be complete.
It took 19 months for our home to be move in ready. And till this day i am currently waiting on them to fix my front and back lawn, paint garage and front door its just been I really horrible first time home buyer experience
Terrible communication. Absolutely terrible. Did not adhere to schedule or budget commitments. No one seemed to care either. Worst customer service experience of my life.
Everyone working for them was professional and aimed to please.
A narcissist builder, who extorts people for more money, likes to use threatening tactics. Do not build with them. Takes advantage of homeowners and people they think won't have money to take legal action against them.
Poor craftsmenship, lack of care & attention to detail, and no sense of urgency.
I signed the contract to have this house built in August 2020. It wasn't completed until February 2022 - almost 18 months later. The original contract price was $179K, the price was jacked up to $199K during the building process - a $20K price increase. Do I need to explain further...?
Communication wasn't good, but I would still recommend them.
My oldest daughter will be looking to by a home in the Broken Arrow area, and I’ll recommend Glenwood Homes to her
Another buyer backed out of a build because it was taking so long, we came in and picked up the contract when it was already being built and still had to wait 6 more months for completion and even then our punch list wasn’t done by move in. Communication was extremely poor, we were told every month “another 30-60 days” and ended up being out of a place to live for a while simply because no one could give us an answer on when to close and continuously lied about it. Calling, texting, emailing, etc. And even then would barely get a response from anyone responsible for communicating on the home. The only person who we credit closing (finally) to is the home warranty individual because he actually answers a phone call and put action into play for things to get done and we are extremely grateful for him.
My experience was not normal due to the pandemic. Material shortages, subs hard to get on time. Took 9 months longer than my original closing date. Other factors caused for a nightmare of an experience. I’m gonna wait for warranty experience on anything I may need before I recommend based on my bad buying experience. I’ll let the home speak for itself, it turned out great!
They have great quality houses. The customer service can be a little better.
They build a good home but their warranty department does not follow up on requests and the home was not completely ready by closing. Some issues still remain unresolved. I really want to hear from their warranty department.
They make it easy to sell but hard to get anything fixed. They ignore phone calls. After they sell the home they don't want to deal with any issues that come up afterwards!
First home so no comparative experience. The company reps were very helpful, but communication otherwise was limited. The builder himself was non-responsive. Time line on house was pushed backed multiple times but the pandemic was a big contributor. Punch list urgent items were addressed timely but the non urgent things are at this point 2 months out and counting to still be completed. I have enjoyed the home so far and am glad I bought it.
Audra, Mark and Nick were amazing through the home building service - Home Warranty has been HORRIBLE.
Took way too long to build, no communication, I understand Covid happened, BUT being told 2 weeks out that we were good to move in and then 1 week out that it was going to be another 7 weeks for move in and ended up being 9 weeks was ridiculous. Also, our sod was 90% dead and we had no gutters. It took over a month to get someone to even come look at the sod that was able to do something about it. Still looks bad, but it is finally growing. Still no gutters.
The Build was great, once my initial issues were worked out. Nate answered all of my questions and was great to work with . I cannot say the same for the warranty team, however. I had to consistently remind them of the punch list issues and follow up to ensure they were handled. I have been in this home a month and there are still outstanding issues that need to be resolved. I understand that there are other issues that have come up, but I should not, as the customer, be reaching to make sure the issues are resolved.
There are many great things to say about Home Creations and overall we’re very happy, but getting a contractor out to fix things that they should have done right in the first place has been horrible. I almost made this review 3 stars because of that and if things aren’t fixed soon I will. One thing is hot water to the master bath. That’s pretty important.
After "6 final" walkthroughs, my home was still not finished. The spackling was left on all cabinet doors and door trims, and never painted over to complete the trim. I HAD TO PAINT ALL CABINETS AND TRIM MYSELF! The flooring of the bathtubs had dirt embedded that would not come out, so I've had to have them reglazed. The bathtub fixtures were all tarnished and ruined by overcleaning with wrong chemicals. Kitchen sink leaked, and both sinks in master bath AFTER THEIR INSPECTION! The heater blower motor wheel was warped and broken that caused my walls to shake, yet they didn't do anything to correct it before closing. The paint was thin in places and dirt spots still on walls, so I had to touch up all wall paint. The windows are not energy efficient and leak cold air, so I had to buy insulation to fill in the sides of all the windows. The door to the garage isn't plum, and I'm still waiting for somone to fix it so it will shut completely. There are leaks around door insulation trim. No caulking was done in the bathroom around the tub, baseboards or toilet, so I HAD TO DO ALL CAULKING IN BATHROOMS. The day I closed, there was a water leak in my front yard where the builder plumber used the wrong connection to the city connection. I now have a hole in my front yard. I'm still waiting on my bathtub flooring to be reglazed and my door to be reset. I think that will just about complete everything.
Builder doesn’t communicate well with the buyer.
