There were two sales associates we had dealt during the process. Initial contact was with a female associate who came off abrasive, high strung and overshared personal matters. The other was great, pleasant, and easy to talk to. We continued our connection with the latter. Moving into the home, we noticed the build quality wasn’t as expected. The customer service rep kept pushing “it’s not going to be perfect,” which isn’t exactly what I want to hear after making such a large purchase. The wall insulation between homes is absolutely atrocious. I can hear my neighbors cooking, chopping, blending, running around as if they’re in the room down the hall. The walls are paper thin. I didn’t realize it at the time but also, the bathrooms are unnecessarily big and wasted living space when it could’ve gone to the “open” living area. A 1560 sq ft home feels like 900 sq ft.
I think the whole process had a lot of problems. The whole buying process had a lot of problems. I had to spend a lot of time to figure things out. I expected someone to actually drive us through the process. I mean there were a lot of problems I was assuming a better experience.
Have both positive and negative experiences. Pro: floor plan, standard upgrades cons: quality of materials- especially flooring is squeaking after 2months in; Lack of amenities, Parking road between units is too narrow, Nails sticking through carpets in stairways and entry ways.
The garage gate seems too small. And the drive way not even high. Difficult to move car inside the garage
I only moved in two weeks ago.
We couldn't have chosen a better place to call home. It is bright, beautiful & quite spacious. We absolutely love how big the kitchen is and the fortune to have 3 bedroom/3 bathrooms & a two-car garage in the Bay Area. Owning a home with all these features is a real luxury these days, so we feel really lucky to live at Haypark at Somi.
