I called Interstate Roofing to ask about the warrantee on the shingles they applied to my roof 20 years ago. To my surprise, Shelley, one the owners, called me back and explained it to me and offered to complete the paperwork to make a claim. A few days later, Lance came out to inspect the shingles and other aspects of the roof on my 1951 Ranch style home. He said that the shingles were indeed at the end of their life since the granules and asphalt were completely worn away on a good percentage of them. He recommended a full tear-off of the 2 layers of shingles and adding new plywood decking and low intake vents. I met with a couple other roofers who were strong candidates, but I ended up going with Interstate Roofing for a few reasons; two of my neighbors and I have all had good experiences with them, they are a family-owned business, and they gave me a competitive estimate. My new roof looks beautiful and is much sturdier with the new plywood decking and more efficient with the new low intake vents. I really couldn’t be happier. I also have to say that I was extremely impressed with everyone involved in making this happen. To get the project started sooner, I drove my deposit check to their office where I was greeted by Olivia who is friendly and helpful. I also met Jordan who explained the details; when and where the product would be delivered, where the drop box would be placed, how they would remove the old roofing material to protect my yard, where the portable toilet would go etc. There are a lot of details and even though she followed-up up in writing, I still had a few remaining questions. Although I felt like I was inundating her, she remained unusually gracious and never once gave me the slightest hint that I was asking too much. Hector, and every one of his crew were prompt, professional and efficient. They did an outstanding job of planning the work in phases around the April rain showers that week to keep the project moving forward safely. They are skilled, thorough and detailed. But there was one person who absolutely astounded me: Joe, the Superintendent. As with any project, there is always a hiccup or two. Unfortunately, the last 2 companies I hired for other projects turned into absolute nightmares. But this time was completely different largely due to Joe. He was extremely responsive to all of my questions and concerns and was always willing to continue discussing an issue until I was completely satisfied. He is easy-going and personal and makes you feel like you are his only client. I’ve done a lot of work on my former house and cabin, so I know a few things. Joe definitely knows his trade and he instills a great sense of confidence and trust which are rare these days.

From start to finish, everything went according to plan. I chose Interstate Roofing after I interviewed 5–6 companies. Dustin, who was Interstate Roofing's representative, said I must be confused, and I said no. I met with people and thought they were great, but then thought the price was too high. That happened with Interstate Roofing. We did it 6 times. The price was really good and competitive, even though they are a larger company and have been around for a long time. The first gentleman told me they had a video on the establishment and said roofing was the biggest scam because they take a lot of money upfront and then run. It was based on who would provide the best material and work. I was not disappointed at all. They said it would take three days, and they would start on Monday and finish Wednesday. They said they wanted to wait until warmer weather. We decided we wanted to go ahead with it. They provided 12 workers and finished the work in one day. I was very impressed. They probably wanted to get the work done and go to work because there was not a lot of work going on at that time of the year. The neighbor said they may get it done in one day, and it actually snowed and rained the next day, but they were able to get it all done in one day.

Interstate roofing was professional, competent and through, from the Salesmen to the workers. I really appreciate their job and workmanship. Furthermore Joe Head has been especially helpful in explaining the job and in explaining what other work that should be done to help keep the roof looking nice.

We got 3 re-roofing bids and we went with Interstate because of their reputation, their cost was right in line with everyone else, and Lance was knowledgeable and responsive. When it was time to schedule the install, the communication was very detailed and even when there was a slight delay with our materials, they let us know and got us scheduled as soon as it arrived. Ken was our superintendent and called the day of to set expectations and came on site each day to check progress/explain the process (if needed). During the final walk through, he answered my questions and made sure we were happy with the finished product. We would highly recommend using Interstate for your roofing needs!

I am quite satisfied with my new roof. The crew moved in on Mon. and were done by the end of the day Tues. Wednesday they picked up the extra material that was neatly stacked in the driveway. Meticulous care to each and every step in the process, Very impressive and much appreciated! Every employee was prepared and professional and available. We are both engineers/project managers, and we can’t think of anything Interstate could improve upon. This kind of performance doesn’t happen by accident! The tear-off and installation team took great care to protect our foundation plants, even sparing a tiny volunteer snapdragon (that was not even highlighted to them during the walk-through).

I was satisfied because Interstate Roofing explained to me the elements of the roof, the work that needed to be done, and then they documented that in a formal contract. They put all of the components in it and not just a summary. They also included the price and the choices that were to be made. I was also satisfied with their communication. I could call at any time with a question and they were quick to answer. I also live in an area where the weather is unpredictable and they were good at telling me when things were going to be delayed.

The people at Interstate were very knowledgeable and accommodating. We had a deadline because of our insurance policy and they exceeded our expectations of meeting it. Even went above and beyond when I couldn't meet their deadlines because of an unexpected hospital stay for me.
