Expertise - George Loflund, Mitch Jackson, and Chris Gallo were great to work with. If I had any questions or needed something done, all I needed to do was talk to one of them and I would get a response.

Punchlist

Punchlist - The entire project was well-coordinated and completed in a very timely manner. From the time the demolition started until the project was completed, every project item was sequenced well and there were no wasted days to speak of.

Project Manager Communication

Project Manager Communication - Mitch Jackson and Chris Gallo did a great job of keeping us informed of what to expect each day. They kept us informed via text, e-mail, or in-person communication. If we had any questions, they were only a phone call away.

Schedule - Mitch and Chris kept us informed daily.

Jobsite Cleanliness

Jobsite Cleanliness - The workers did an excellent job of leaving the worksite clean at the end of each day. I never had to ask any of them to please clean their mess.

Home Safety

Home Safety - There were times when none of us were home while work was being done. The workers were great about entering the house, doing their work, and making sure the house was locked and secured when they finished. We did not have any issues with things in the house being out of place or missing.

Original Design

Original Design - I believe the final project turned out better than our original design and desires.

Selections Process

Selections Process - One of the reasons we chose a design-build process was to get the assistance of a design team. The JDR design team was very helpful in designing a kitchen that would be efficient, easy to operate in, and looked good.

Materials Selections: Surface

Materials Selections: Surface - George was very helpful in showing us the selections for cabinets, countertops, and flooring. He was able to show us the many different choices without having to spend alot of time going to different vendors. Seeing what is available at the Home Expressions showroom is very helpful, but actually going to Tutto Marmo to select granite slabs and Arizona Tile to select tiles was fun and educational.

Showrooms - We enjoyed our trips with George to Tutto Marmo for granite, Arizona Tile for tiles, and Ferguson Enterprises for appliances. George was helpful in educating us on what we should be looking for and showing us what was available. If George had not been along with us, we could have spent many hours at various vendors getting overwhelmed with the choices that were available.

Easier Than Expected

Easier Than Expected - I was hesitant to tackle our kitchen remodel project, because I had heard many horror stories about home remodel projects. Our project was completed in 4 months from the start of design to end of construction. If I had tried to tackle this project on my own, the kitchen would still be torn up and in-work. JDR definitely made this project look easy by providing expert design advice, skilled tradesmen, and knowing the quality products available. By JDR taking on all the difficult issues, our kitchen remodel project was clearly made easier on us.

We trusted them implicitly to tear the house down to the studs, and get started. It was a one year project, and the team was beside us every step of the way navigating the many challenges. We are happy to say this our old house is now our HOME thanks to Jim, John, Sol, Liz, Don and the rest of the Jackson team.

Easier Than Expected - I'm not sure it was easier than expected but it was exactly what I had hoped for when deciding to go with JDR. I felt the constant help, support, and honest feedback that we received from their team at each step of the process kept the project and the decision making along the way from becoming over whelming. Also it was so comforting to have an experienced team to bounce ideas off of, while knowing that there was always someone on hand to answer our questions. They delivered exactly what they said they would and more.

Additional Comments - Our remodel was easy from start to finish. What we expected to be a miserable time was actually quite enjoyable. Our Project Manager Mike was perfect, as were Brent, and the architect Jim (this guys funny too!!!!!), who made out kitchen and bathroom look bigger than I thought they were. Our powder room was an add-on and Alison, our designer, did a fabulous job with such a small space. We are very happy with the job and would recommend JDR to anyone.

We loved working with everyone, Todd, Brett, the designers (Vanessa and Pamela), Don, the project manager, the staff (Stina and Maria) at the office and all the subcontractors, also all first rate professionals. A special note about Don. What a guy! We really appreciated his calm demeanor and occasional dry humor in the face of what is inherently a messy and stressful process. We knew we'd have piece of mind when we called Jackson Design & Remodeling because we can count on their teamwork, integrity, expertise and willingness to make us happy. Given that so much money goes into a remodel project it is nice to feel confident that the end product will give us satisfaction. Last, but not least, all our friends and family have raved about the addition and how much it has improved our property and our lifestyle. The interior designer-Alison is awesome,she listened attentively and gave her expert opinion and it all came together beautiful.The team worked together and messages were relayed on time. Additional Comments - We purchased a remodeling design package through Jackson’s generous donation of the package as a silent auction item for the Cancer Society. We were already aware of their stellar reputation through friends who has used Jackson. Jim Groen, the architech, and Rosella Gonzalez, the designer, visited our home and quickly understood our style. The designed plan they developed incorporated our wish list for our master bath remodel, including a Japanese soaking tub. The pricing for the actual project was in our budget and there were no surprises on the cost later.The later team members, Joe Sharamitaro as site manager, and Karina Delgadillo, assistant designer rounded out the Jackson Team once we began the actual remodeling. The project was timely with strong in-home supervision of the many subcontractors with minimal requirements for us to be on site as the owners. The team also suggested other quality contractors for issues we needed addressed at the same time (a new roof and a water heater). There were no surprises in the pricing, and we appreciated the weekly written status updates. The remodeling process took little of our time. Many decisions were made by email. The remodel process was a delight and we would definitely use Jackson again.
