My first roof repair ...so did a lot of research beforehand. This company really came through in an exceptional way from beginning to end.

We are extremely happy that we found James & Whitney to re-shingle our roof and replace the old shake shingle siding. The company responded faster than other companies we contacted and estimate was lower. Someone came out immediately to give us a quote and show us selections. We were very happy with the quality of the materials and the knowledge of the staff. They were able to schedule the work quickly and finished the job in short time. The work looks excellent.

It was the worse experience with a contractor I have ever had. They made a lot of promises that were never met. The biggest issue was they said a project manager would be on site every day to supervise. Talk to Jeremey Whitney of all the things that went wrong. I will say Jeremey did his best to try to make an awful situation right.

Great first time experience with this company.

I am an elder in a fixed income so this big a project was stressful. The estimate was mid range within the estimates I received, but their customer service totally sold me on this company. They were patient, understanding, professional and just overall great to work with and I am happy how everything looks. There was a supervisor here each day and the crew members were hard working, polite and efficient. The entire house and garage was completed in a day and a half. They did an excellent job cleaning the yard and driveway before they left. I highly recommend them.

Well organized and did an excellent job. Cleaned up very well. Somewhat expensive, but the results justify it. They always respond promptly to emails and texts, which is a rare behavior with many contractors and their teams.

Sorry for the delay in responding. The issue of one skylight leaking was taken care of and has now been confirmed good by several storms. The main reason for my delay responding. The overall experience was very good, with great focus on doing the best job possible. While I would like to have seen locals doing the work, I must say the workmanship demonstrated good cooperation and understanding of the core values of your company with everyone involved.

Overall my husband and I had a great experience with James & Whitney. They are very communicative. He provided us with many addresses in southern Maine for us to actually see the final project. Scott MacDonald's crew did an excellent job! They were in and out in one day, and the roof looks terrific. Several people have stopped by and asked if I'd recommend J & W, the answer has been, absolutely!
