They promised to have my repairs done in a timely manner, but it took several months longer than stated to complete the work. I was given assurances over and over, only to have deadlines pass without explanation or apologies. I had to make far too many calls to get status on the project. The only reason this is 2 stars, and not 1 star, is they did quality work.
Jenkins Restoration has a lack of thorough communication.
The dry out team were very responsive and great to work with. They let us know everything that they were doing and kept in contact checking to see how things were looking while the fans were on. They were also very respectful of our house and our time. Given that we had a newborn in the house they also tried their hardest to get everything dry and equipment out as soon as they could.
The people were professional and worked very long hours to get my house back to a livable form
They are quick to respond for the dry-out portion but do not communicate well for the build-back part. If they have to go together, then it's a problem.
The overall project still isn't complete, so it is hard to answer this.
They were professional and did a great job
Great. Really responsive. Answered all our questions. Overall really positive.
Everything took longer than expected, but it could've been due to the pandemic.
Quick to respond, friendly and professional. Chris was able to get our work scheduled quickly, Bob did an excellent job, looks like new
It took nearly 4 months to complete what was supposedly a simple job. Scheduling conflicts, issues during repairs, and broken promised repair dates extended this job to twice the amount of time I was told it would take to complete.
It took three months to have our leak repaired. It was so disappointing because everyone we interacted with seemed like such genuinely nice people. For the last month, I called 2-3 times per week to see if there were any updates in whether or not someone would be available to finish the work. I explained that we were selling our home and needed the work completed before our move-out date. It was incredibly stressful to have to continually follow up with everything else that we had going on with our move.
I never leave reviews. The experience with this company, and specifically Chris Anderson who was our project manager has been terrible. No follow up communication, multiple texts and voicemails and no returned calls. It is really frustarting when you have water damage that the contractor just leaves you hanging with questions and overpromises and does not deliver. In the end, after weeks of trying I had to find my own roof repair person and interior repair company. This was a very frustrating experience.
Once I had finally gotten to you (prolonged lack of communication with my insurance company) your service and attention was seamless and a welcome change.
See suggestions for improvement.
Kris the project manager was quick to respond and communicated well. The workmen did a high quality job we’re very clean and efficient. I would definitely use them again
Some of the worst service and work experience I've had in my lifetime - PM was Chris Anderson
Would like to commend Alex who restored our hardwood floor. The quality of his work is superb.
Also, we are happy with Marcela the point person who dealt with us.
Highly recommend Jenkins. First experience with water problems and Jenkins response was extremely professional and hellpful.
DO NOT USE JENKINS. They charged over $200 for disposing a small piece of wall trim. I could have easily put that in my trash can with zero cost.
Very unhappy with their lack of communication. It took weeks to get a response to my calls about getting the work scheduled (had to have USAA reach out to them). Once work started, I never heard anything unless I asked and they only answered my specific question. I received no updates. For the "final walk-thru", I found that one room had not been painted. Apparently they had okayed this with the tenant instead of reaching out to the owner or owner representative. Frank has said someone will come out to take care of this, but at this time I have not heard back on when.
Jenkins personnel were great. They kept in contact and did a great job. I would highly recommend them.
Great guys. Thorough explanation and helped keep our insurance on their toes.
Shayne was professional, timely, respectful of our house and time.
Good work quality with attention to detail
I was very pleased. They were patient. They listened to my needs. They were friendly, polite, and professional. The workmanship was very good. I worked with Jake Hussa the most. The subcontractors were excellent. They communicated with me throughout the process. They let me know about a glitch that wasn't their fault and they stayed in communication with me.
I cannot say enough about Jenkins Restorations. They have been absolutely wonderful to work with, and we LOVE the work they have done for us! This was the first time that we have had to work with an insurance company to settle for damage, mitigation and restoration – and we did not know what we were doing. Added to that, our insurance company was quite challenging. Jenkins Restorations helped us understand what the insurance company was asking for, they helped us advocate for and resolve issues with the insurance company, and they helped us to understand what options we had within the settlement. They were persistent in sourcing materials, even when supply was difficult to find; they advocated to supply stores when materials were delayed. And their contractors did absolutely beautiful work on the rebuild of our two bathrooms. The Jenkins Restorations staff and contractors were friendly, respectful, excellent communicators, and real experts in their work. We are very grateful for Jenkins Restorations, and highly recommend them!
They were very professional throughout all of our interactions. They went above and beyond what I was expecting in the restoration process. Not only that, but they did a great job.
Job well done.
Frank the man
I don't know how the rest will go. They have not started the restoration yet.
Due to COVID, I put my project on hold in March 2020 then reached back out in July to see about getting it re-scheduled -- the work wasn't completed till January 2021. I understood for a small project that it would take longer to find a contractor, however, there was a period between July - November where I followed up to ask for an update and received zero response from my Project Manager. A new Project Manager was assigned in December and I had a far better experience with strong communication. Benji was great and very responsive.
Jenkins took my project and never showed up for work. Their PM eventually called after months to say that Jenkins was unable to do the project. It left me with a torn apart house with water damage for 4 months. Very disappointing.
The entire experience was painful and the sub contractors caused additional damage to my home. I finally gave up and stopped trying to get things fixed.
Walter Cruz did an excellent job as project manager. He consistently followed up on progress, kept us informed, and met our every request.
Jenkins did a terrible job. They didn’t have enough subcontractors and our job was installed. After months of installing I had to find electrical, plumbing and tile subs on my own to work with Jenkins general contractor. The general contractor did a substandard job monitoring the subs and we had to pay out of pocket to redo the entire work, which cost us more than $30k. Lawyers were involved and it cost us years of headaches. Not sure why they are USAA’s preferred contractors. Don’t use them.
in short, Don't expect good timely results...
Jenkins Restoration did an excellent work with our basement bathroom. Workers were very professional and helpful, they even re-touched an area that was not originally included in the contract. Walter (the operation manager) was very responsive and willing to work with us and accommodate our needs. We are very thankful with the whole team!
Really enjoyed working with Jenkins and the contractor. We had water damage from our leaking water tank and had to have hardwoods replaced and other work done. This was my first home project of this level, so I was nervous. They were very supportive and spent time explaining and answering all my questions. Thank you to them!
We started with this company because they were our insurance "preferred" company. They initially responded in a timely manner to assess the fire damage-after that, almost no communication. Took almost three weeks of repeated requests to get a temporary repair to an 8' hole in the garage wall. Two and a half months later, with no other action from this company, we hired someone else to complete the work.
I would not recommend the contractors that they used.
Jenkins restoration were very professional in working with the insurance company. They took care of all the paperwork and the work was submitted to and approved by the insurance. The project manager was very responsive to asks. The downside was that the entire process was extremely slow, the people doing the job were not very professional and I did not feel there was enough supervision. Some things were done in a more professional way (e.g. painting), some things were below the quality I would have expected (flooring, toekick repair, etc.)
Walter from Jenkins was a really great person to have on the job. He listened to all of our issues with the first contracting company and he completely satisfied us with the second one that came to redo the work. He was very upfront and transparent with us, he communicated often, and really the job was only successful because of him.
Professional, strong project management and coordination. Exceeded my expectations in bringing my project to an end looking better than before the water damage! Will definitely use them again should I need to!
We found Jenkins to be very responsive and the follow through was always as promised. Great communication. Would hire them again.
The representative that came out and did the restoration did an excellent job, she was timely and professional.
Jenkins Restorations was efficient and successful in fixing my water damage.
Jenkins did a great job of drying out the ceiling. They communicated well and they accommodated us very well.
Jenkins has been very straightforward about all aspects of this project. They have met their deadlines and have kept us very well informed along the way.
They did an excellent job.
