JMC did a fantastic job on our master bathroom from design conception to completion. The design consultant helped us realize our concept as we imagined while ensuring the design was well-balanced and functional. The construction process went very smoothly with minimal disruption to our household. The quality of workmanship is excellent from basic construction to the fine tiling work. We are very satisfied with the result.

I’ve always wanted a bathtub big enough to stretch out in. But our 1860s farmhouse had a small, cramped bathroom with a 4 foot tub/shower. Thankfully, at JMC, they know geometry and how to make the most of every available inch. It was our first reno project and the JMC process was transparent. Our JMC designer listened to my wishlist and our budget and guided me through the process of choosing tile and fixtures. Our contractor told us what to expect each day. And, without changing the room’s footprint, JMC gutted and rebuilt it into an airy wet-room with an open, tiled shower and a large, black iron clawfoot—the tub of my dreams!

We wanted to find a contractor we could work with in partnership. We had a concept of what we wanted, and selected many of the materials. We needed help with detailed floor plans (including moving a wall) and 1001 design details (including converting to a cathedral ceiling, adding a transom, moving plumbing around). They made numerous valuable suggestions and helped us visualize the design with the help of many CAD drawings. During construction, they did an amazing job of sealing off other areas and cleaning up, resulting in minimal dust/dirt in the house. There was good communication throughout the time frame and the final design/workmanship is outstanding. Their commitment to customer satisfaction is obvious, and we couldn’t be happier with the project.

JMC delivered a beautiful new kitchen to us. The work they did was high quality, and they were highly responsive to our requests throughout. At one point our sink was installed, and upon seeing it, I felt it was too small. That same day they were working with me to find a new sink, and they contacted the countertop installers to schedule a re-cutting to ensure the new sink fit. Within a few days we had our new sink and countertop and they were perfect.

As always the project went smoothly. Everything was well organized and efficient. Workers were very careful around house and everything was cleaned up at the end of each day. The project came out beautiful. It was worth the wait. JMC may not be the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

We had two full baths renovated by JMC. Their designer helped us pick out material based on our style and needs which was very helpful considering all the options you can choose from. JMC contractors were efficient, clean, and thorough. What I loved is they called each morning to let us know they’re on their way.. hope they keep that up! All said would definitely recommend these guys. It’s nice to work with a company where you’re not just a number and they know you.

This was the 4th time I have contracted with JMC for home renovation. This time they exceeded their previous sterling reputation of good quality work, by surprising me with their excellent design team. The scope of this project was greater than previous, and included change of scope and design in mid stream. They handled it flawlessly. I am very impressed.

We are very pleased with the final look and quality of the workmanship for our project. When something was not to our liking (overhead lights appeared crooked) all we had to do was mention it and it was fixed without hesitation (new light had to be ordered). Donna, our designer, came up with a beautiful design for the bathroom and was more than helpful communicating everything with me throughout the entire process. Elliot was also phenomenal in his work on installing the tile and sent me daily updates with pictures so I could see progress while we moved out of the house. Finally, Gary was very communicative about everything at the start of the project, making sure everything was roughed in how we wanted it. He also helped ease my fears to make an easy decision to widen the shower further, which made a huge improvement in both look and functionality. I had thought about widening it previously, but thought it would be a bigger project than it was, so I was very glad when he mentioned the idea. Overall, JMC was very professional and made the whole project run as smoothly as possible, which is exactly what I was looking for in a remodeling company.

Quality workmanship

We have worked multiple times with JMC Home Improvement and each time they do exceptional work. The most recent work was the replacement of a very large 4 paneled Pella window that was so high it required a scaffold to be built. JMC did the work carefully, on time and always cleared up after every day's work and scrupulously at the end. A pleasure to work with!

We selected JMC for the remodeling of our three full bathrooms based on customer reviews and personal interaction with the owner John MacDougall.We are very impressed with the quality of work by the JMC team. The crew was always on time. They took all the necessary steps to maintain a clean and dust free environment and always cleaned up the work space and walking areas at the end of the day. We had the crew in the house for over two months and never had any issues. They are very customer oriented.We were also pleased with the performance of Mario and Garry. The craftsmanship and attention to details is excellent. They always involved us in the selection of options for the installation.The project coordinator Jack frequently visited the site and addressed any questions and problems immediately. Issues with the cabinetry and countertop subcontractor were resolved to our satisfaction. Inspections were scheduled in advance to avoid delays and maintain the project schedule.Overall a great experience and we highly recommend JMC to anyone who expects an installation of superb quality.

From start to finish our experience with JMC was above and beyond what we expected. Literally every aspect of the project was well thought out, anticipated, and planned for. Communication was professional, constant, and consistent. JMC was thoughtful and considerate and probably treated our home better than we do... truly a 5 star experience. We will definitely be using JMC for projects going forward and would recommend them to friends and family without hesitation.

This is the second renovation JMC has done for me - the first being my kitchen in 2016. They are not the cheapest option out there, but my satisfaction with the results, their work ethic, and their clean up policies make it well worth it. Add to that their pledge to make any problems right for as long as you own the home puts it over the top.

This is my sixth project with JMC so it should be obvious that I have been pleased with their work. This was a small project for JMC, basically involving painting the room, refinishing what I believed was a hard wood floor under some carpeting and doing some wiring and wall mounting a TV. Whenever you have a project like this "Stuff happens". In this case it was my mistake not to check the floor under the carpet. In my defense every other room in the house has hard wood floors. Surprise, not this one. To JMC's credit, the project was revamped in 24 hours, and a new hard wood floor was installed. We lost at most a day in completing the project!!! I'm not sure many other companies could have changed plans so quickly. Bottom line is that we are very pleased with the way the project turned out. As in all my other reviews of JMC I highly recommend JMC. They will not be the cheapest quote but you get a lot of service for the dollar spend. More importantly, projects are well choreographed, and there is rarely a day when someone isn't on site moving the project forward. This project took approximately 12 working days The only days they weren't on site was when the urethane on the floor was drying and it couldn't be worked on. As in my other projects with them I am very satisfied with the results.

This is my 2nd project with JMC. Last year a much bigger project with a kitchen. This was a small powder room. Even after the contract was signed, I requested a few add on tasks and they were accomplished without an extra fee (installed new shower slide and drain cover in another bathroom that I provided). And one of the guys took it upon himself to replace the moulding around my window (not in the contract) because it was flawed and wanted the job to be perfect. They also fixed issues from the prior year on the kitchen (re-grouted some floor tiles) so they do make good on their work.

They are extremely professional. They were very prompt and courteous. I would recommend others to use them for large or small projects.

We're very happy with our kitchen and master bath remodel, and friends and family "ooh and ahh" over how improved the flow of our home is. We had an issue with the hardwood floor subcontractor, so when I use JMC again in the future, we'll be figuring out whether that contractor will ever be used in my home again, but all of their employees were amazing. We're happy with the results, and would definitely recommend them to others.

My new bathroom is better than I ever dreamed. Starting with the visit from the owner to look over the job to visiting the showroom and selecting my designs everything was very professional. Once the job started I had ten workers in and out of my house at various times each doing their specialty. They left the house clean each day and called each morning when they were on their way. We became family. A problem arose that was beyond their control and they solved the problem and finished the job on time. The attention to detail was what impressed me the most. I am so happy with the finished room. I would recommend JMC and their team for any work you want to have done. I am already thinking about my next project. Thanks to all for a great job!

It's a pleasure working with JMC (again). JMC worked with me from the design through implementation. The JMC team kept me informed, and I felt part of the team.. Every day they left the premises neat and clean. When necessary, they worked around my schedule. I have recommended JMC to friends and I would again. JMC does what it says it will, on time, on budget, and with very good quality.

I have used JMC for many years and trust them and have been more than satisfied with their work. I would recommend them to others without question.

JMC is just the best. I cannot imagine using another contractor. This is our fourth project with them (2 bathrooms, a major kitchen remodel and basement repairs). While they are not the cheapest, this is an example that you get what you pay for. Starting with their design professional, Tammy, who works with you every step of the way, through their project manager, Jack and JMC President, John, all are constantly available and always accommodating. There were never hidden charges. Projects were completed on schedule. Once JMC started work, they were, with very rare exceptions working on a daily basis. Materials used were of high quality. All workers were real craftsmen. Job was left clean every day with hardly any dust in other areas of the home. We could not be happier with our relationship with JMC and would recommend them to anyone.

Everything is neat at the end of each workday. They do not nickel and dime you if problems develop during the work. This was our third project with JMC and we would look no place else.
