The most important thing is that the workers are skilled carpenters. The finished job was excellent. All construction has issues so it’s important for the consumer to remain involved with communication at every stage. But for us, the most important thing is that when all the work is done- the finished project should be masterful. This company really does know the ins and outs of installing quality siding. Even other trades (our roofer) made a comment on how he could tell that this work was quality work. We agree.

I found K&B via internet search and chose them to re-side my house after getting proposals and bids from several companies. They specialize in Hardie, and that's what we wanted. We worked with the Mike D to visualize all the trim.. and certain areas that would be left unsided for future stone-face, and the computer visualizations were very helpful. After all the pre-sale work, I was concerned their bid would be very high, but it was not. As they pulled off the old siding and found rotting sheathing and some rotted beams, they were fair and honest in replacing and fixing those items. Overall, very happy with the job, the pace of work and the overall quality.

I was a little disappointed that they did not have an electrician on staff, I had to find my own and that caused a delay of about 11 days. I have never had a remodeling job done on the house where an electrician was not part of the crew.

I can't say enough about K&B Home Remodelers - from the timely and detailed quotations, written changes to work, and great communication among sales, office, and site foreman. I had my siding, windows, and roof replaced and their work was top-notched - no short cuts and great workmanship. We all know that sometimes finding a contactor is a crap-shoot. I've dealt with all types in my home and this organization was by far and away the most trustworthy and thorough. The workers worked HARD every day, from 8 to 6 (at least) and can be seen moving quickly in their work. The last hour or so was spent cleaning up. We had a massive communication problem in the week leading up to the roof installation where the crew working on the inside of my house installed the roof and put a tarp over the plywood. There seemed to be confusion as to whose tarp it was. I told your salesman that on Monday their liability was switching to K&B and that day or very soon after K&B took a look at our house and saw the tarp and told me a tarp was already on the house. A few days later a massive storm hit and the tarp was blown off leading to water damage in the crease in the roof between the old roof and the new unprotected roof. Neither party took responsibility and I had to pay Servpro to dry the place the water dropped down to, but perhaps the worst of it was the water damage and crooked ceilings we now have that we can't stand to look at.Once the project was underway it went well and Olivier in particular was of great help. The house looks fantastic.
