Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Would not hesitate to recommend Kitchen Tune-Up.
We love the look of our new kitchen. In the end everything turned out great.
They are very thorough and follow up on all questions.
Justin was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed working with him.
Scott was fantastic during the installation. Very professional and courteous.
I think they are wonderful! I have told all my friends about them.
Design - Dave the design guy was excellent, I am 75 yrs old, and he was very nice to deal with.
Respectful - The cleanup was fantastic, they tapped over everything. Acted like it was their own homes. Paul, Sam, and Scott worked for 12 days, and it came out beautiful.
Communication - The scheduling was done when they said it would be done. This was the first project I had done since my husband passed. I thought there would be issues, but they were wonderful.
Safe - There were no problems or accidents. I have a dog, and they made sure nothing fell.
Work Done Right - The only issue was on my side, misunderstanding of what needed to be put up.
Professional & Organized - From the secretary on up, they all were great.
Expertise - The people they had were amazing and had a lot of experience. They made sure the team was made up of top people with tons of experience.
Value - Absolutely, I feel like I got a gorgeous kitchen at a great price point. They take what you have and make it brand new and better.
Recognized Excellence - Everyone was great, not one person did I not want to wrap in my arms. I was a nervous Nelly, and they in braced me. They all went out of their ways to help me.
Areas For Improvement - Nothing
Areas Of Satisfaction - They exceeded my expectations. Linda switch it to Nov, I told her would not be a good time. She was able to make sure it was completed by Oct 12.
Additional Comments - I think anyone who is elderly or not use to dealing with different people should use this company. They have been a Godsend to me.
Communication was not good. The woman who answered the phone was not a nice person to work with. She had a smart answer for everything. She did not give me some dates, but argued with me that she did. The first person you communicate with at a business should be extremely pleasant, kind and helpful. Every time you called, she acted like she was being bothered. Always had the attitude that she was right and there was no talking to her.
David is a very nice person. Most of the work he did was great. Promised us some things, like under cabinet lights, but when the time came to order everything, he said "Sorry we can't do them". He even came to our house and measured everything. What kind of business is that. He also told us one start date that was totally wrong. We were forced to take a different date that was not good for us. If we didn't take that day, the woman ( sorry I don't know her name) said we would wait months.
It was not a good experience.
Schedule - It snowed a lot, so that I understand.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The gentlemen that came to our house were very nice and knowledgable.
It took several visits to assure the correct measurements but everything was perfect when installed, especially when the experienced installer came to finish the job.
My wife and I are satisfied with our decision to reface our cabinets, replace the backsplash and replace the counter over doing a complete remodel. The time it took to complete the job was minimal. The 25 year old kitchen now looks bright and modern.
When I was solicited for the job I asked the salesman "why KTU instead of Home Depot?" He emphatically argued all work would be done by KTU employees; not subcontractors, as would be the case with a HD-like vendor. When the work started I was treated to a parade of flooring, electric, counter and tile subcontractors. Their own staff did the cabinet work, which was fine. When I went for the under-cabinet strip lighting their staff couldn't get it right and KTU wound up refunding $700+. I used a local electrician who knew what he was doing and charged literally one-half what KTU did. When I tallied all the bills when the project was completed, I realized I was overcharged close to $400. How's that happen? It was quickly refunded, but had I not checked the invoices, I doubt I'd have ever seen that money.
There were long delays in getting the product in good condition to my project. I'm hoping that was an anomaly and not the norm. The project didn't go great, but I don't think that's what normally happens. From my experience, the project didn't go great.
The workers did an excellent job! They were courteous and agreeable to my frequently changing schedule.
Kitchen Tune-Up can make a painful process easy!
I've already recommended to my sister and she was pleased as well.
Quality work done quickly and with a minimum of mess or disruption
We would definitely recommend Kitchen Tune-Up to a friend. We are very satisfied with the quality of the workmanship and the products they offer - cabinets, hardware, cabinet accessories, etc. Our kitchen has had quite a transformation. We can't wait until it's finished!
I did not receive the service that I thought I was paying for
Cabinet repainting done well
Would strongly suggest not using this franchise. Work was never on schedule, required a constant push from us to complete and was of mediocre quality. Hinges were not ordered correctly, despite having 5,000.00 3 months prior to start of the work
I already gave feedback both in google reviews and their location survey. The quality of the product seems to be good, however the measuring and the install was rocky. I’m still not pleased with the size of my one cabinets. I voiced it at the end and she said she would pass my feedback along - I’ve heard nothing back. I was also told that they are ‘so busy’. I feel as though this location took on more work than they can handle. The consequence has been to sacrifice customer satisfaction. Again the product is satisfactory however the customer experience is below average.
Very dissatisfied with the outcome.
Our overall experience was positive and we just love our kitchen. There were a few obstacles that required attention, but the craftsmanship from our installer made up for it.
They did an amazing job from start to finish! There were a few things that needed to be tweaked at the end, but they came back and fixed it. They are great people to work with, and I'm very pleased!
I would do it again. If I moved, I would hire them again.
It took them a long time to finish my cabinets. They did not have enough handles. They wrecked my hardwood floor that they had to fix. They got the liquid nails on my ceiling and walls.
Kitchen Tune-Up was professional, they did a great job and in comparing them to other companies they were more affordable.
They did a great job.
Job was badly planned. It took months, not weeks as promised. There were constant delays and worker shortages. Communication was bad as well. All-on-all it was apparent there were systemic problems with the company. Would not recommend. In fact, I'd recommend people avoid Kitchen TuneUp.
Scott did an amazing job painting our cabinets. He was courteous and communicative the entire process. Highly recommend.
Miscommunication started when painters showed up
I was sure that the cabinets would be prepped and taped for spraying with paint to create even layer. To my surprise the painter claimed that he had years of experience and didn’t need to tape anything off
The surface was rolled and I was not very satisfied with the texture
The cabinet doors were taken off and sent to the shop where they were sprayed
Two completely different surface textures
In addition there was dust incorporated into the paint at the shop
No sanding was performed in worn areas, which was the reason for the Tune up
After asking the owners of Kitchen Tune up for a different surface ( shinier)
She was very rattled by that request and charged 100$ additional dollars for paint after our out of pocket cost was 8000$
If I would have known that would be the sequence , I would never would have agreed to this “TUNE UP”
We are having our kitchen refaced, an island installed, new countertops installed, and a backsplash installed. There have been so many issues and delays, and it seems very much that completion of this project isn't a priority. We were initially told the project would take roughly 2 weeks. It has now been 4 months and we are still not close to completion. Many of our requests for information went in circles or ignored. The work that has been done is fine, although there were issues with pre-measurements being incorrect and quality issues with pieces of the installation. It has been difficult to get Kitchen Tune-Up to own the project, as the finger commonly gets pointed to vendors and subcontractors.
I enjoyed working with David Diaz and his crew, I really liked his opinion and went with it. I love the look of my kitchen!
