Koelbel has made an investment in the growth and development in Grand County, offering well- designed and quality constructed homes in great communities for active lifestyles. We love our Koelbel home's mountain luxe style, liveable floor plan, design features, and beautiful views. The company was great to work with during the buying process and afterwards in handling a few warranty issues. We highly recommend Koelbel to anyone looking for a semi-custom mountain home in this area.
Very positive so far. Excited to see how the construction process comes to completion!
We are very pleased with Koelbel’s continued support after closing. This demonstrates a commitment to quality and excellence.
See notes above. I will add that it is truly the face of the people we worked with that made it easy for me to give you 5 stars. Truly, Beth and Steven deserve massive kudos for their efforts. Home buying/building is very stressful. We spent a lot of money on this house so we were admittedly very demanding. They took everything in stride. They communicated well. They did not try to hide their own mistakes. They were professional when I was wrong about something (not condescending). They are good at what they do and should be recognized for that.
Great company to work with and great people involved in the entire process
Koebel and all of the subcontracters and suppliers were super efficient and good to work with. I will say the mark up on lighting and plumbing fixtures seems pretty high and the selections not the greatest. Also your standard fixtures could be nicer and more sensitive to the overall design of the house. I upgraded about 42K and have done further upgrades post closing because the lighting in particular here is not very design forward for a "luxury" townhouse. I do think the cabinet upgrades and tile and flooring were appropriately priced, minor thing, soft close cabinetry should be standard in a house priced at 1.25 million. All minor things that don't negatively impact overall but nonetheless sharing my take on the build experience.
Transaction has honestly been problematic from the start. The agent we initially worked with completely blundered the contract, offer and initial purchase process followed by now multiple issues with leaks and water damage prior to and following closing with significant loss of use and inconvenience as well as loss of potential rental income. The current personnel have been excellent, prompt and responsive to the issues, though for such a reputable company the amount of adverse and significant issues is simply too much and overall a major disappointment in this purchase.
I will not be recommending Koelbel until outstanding items are addressed
Construction management was great. Sales team interactions were not the best. Cleanliness of completed home could be better.
We very much would recommend a friend buying in Rendezvous, we do like the neighborhood a lot, but not sure we'd recommend them buy a new build at this time. Too many issues with quality from the subs, long delays and poor communication throughout the process.
Professional & Organized - The communication process definitely needs improvement. Certain things said to us along the way were not accurate, nor professional.
Thus far the experience with Koelbel has been a positive one. Some of the upgrades seem really expensive but I'm sure there is more involved with them than I realize. The standard choices have been very acceptable and upgrades are not really necessary in most cases. Our salesperson has been very helpful and attentive. We have felt very informed as the process moves along.
Your product is super. Big Valley did an excellent job constructing.
The primary issue has been a complete lack of concern and accountability for some relatively annoying warranty issues. I literally feel like I'm in a spot now where I either need to hire an attorney to get some kind of movement or pay for the repairs out of pocket myself. I've purchased multiple new homes over the years and never have had this bad of an experience trying to get a builder to address what should be relatively minor issues.
Every step of our process working with Koelbel Mountain Communities was a success! We had so many options to customize the finishes in our home and Beth, Trevor, and their team hit it out of the park delivering on every aspect of the building plans.
We like the home and the amenities but very disappointed the shuttle service was canceled. That was one of the amenities that drew us rendezvous vs other builders. Warranty company was terrible to work with.
Enough to see above. Would add that sales team and construction team (Trevor) were very good.
Beth Allen was great to work with.
We had a great sales process with Anne, Beth and construction process with Larry. Since Anne’s departure the lack of leadership and ownership has been terribly disappointing. The punch list and warranty issues have been numerous. When following the Koelbel prescribed process Rich, Todd and including Dana Keller has left a lot to be desired. Had we completed a survey on the sales and construction process it would have been 5 star. The overall process post close has been 1 star at best.
Excellent quality. Staff from sales thru post-sale follow up we’re very efficient and professional.
We really enjoy the Rendezvous community in Fraser/Winter Park as a whole. The location to town, trails etc is great!
The sales associate was very professional and informative and sought to understand our desires.
so far so good!
Based on my experience this past year, I trust Koelbel as a builder, and a trustworthy company; I am impressed with their commitment to making Winter Park and Fraser a more livable community. Their community support is admirable.
It was a great all-around experience.
Our experience has been great. I am a Realtor in the Front Range and deal with many new built communities and builders so my opinion does have more experience behind it. The staff was very responsive to our needs and questions and worked hard to try and resolve them. There were the typical construction delays and some frustrations but I know that these things are mainly out of the builders control especially this year during Covid. Overall the process was great and we LOVE our new place in Winter Park!
Felt the initial building process was pretty well done but the final mile has been non existent.
We are still waiting on the punch list to be completed by Koelbel Mountain Communities.
The team has been very friendly and effeciient.
I would recommend the people at the community.
Too early in the process.
The team has been amazing to work with from sales to construction. We love our new home.
We love the Rendezvous subdivision, likely we would buy a single family home in the future in this same subdivision.
I was concerned with some of the mandated contract provisions, but the performance of the people at Koelbel, and the home, have exceeded our expectations.
Do not purchase here. Builder does not follow through on commitments.
Conrad is great. He's very professional and very knowledgeable. The only issue I have is I'm very frustrated with their position to not want to fix the flawed production of the concrete on my patio.
We are extremely pleased with the sales office and especially Hannah for working with us. We could not be happier with the outcome.
Friendly, knowledgeable sales staff. It’s been a pleasure working with Anne Burks.
Great community for a second home.
Of course, I'm a *little* biased, but I am thrilled be buying a home and working with this fantastic team!
Anne, Hannah and team are really amazing. We have enjoyed the process of building with Rendezvous! Highly recommend.
The staff at Rendezvous were super nice, efficient and on the ball! I love my new town home, they did a fabulous job on the buildout, its beautiful! I love the view and looking forward to spending time there!Pam C
Contributing Factors - Location, price, amenities and the reputation of the home builder
Contributing Factors - Great location! Good floor plan. Really like the easy access to trails and town. We are also looking forward to the ski shuttle and ski locker!
The plan and the community are great. The sales people are great at helping out with questions and responding to requests. The one down side was that there really wasn't any effort on the part of construction to get our minor punchlist items from the walk-through complete. They still aren't. We have a supply grill missing on the ceiling since before closing and also missing a cover plate to cover a plumbing cleanout sticking through the wall.
As a broker for RE/MAX Alliance, I deal with many sellers and builders and Anne has demonstrated a superb example of how a sales transaction should be conducted. The bar is high for me and team Rendevous has made this purchase enjoyable and exciting!
Friendly, smooth transaction.
Contributing Factors - Community and quality of homes being built. I don't believe there is overbuilding of the area, this maintaining the best views.
I've bought several homes and buying a Rendezvous home has been the most pleasant experience I've had. Their personnel are competent, courteous, professional and a pleasure to work with.,
Areas Of Satisfaction - I was most satisfied with the Sales Manager (Anne Burks), the Director of Development (Terry Stanford), the Vice President of Development (Keith Neale), the Construction Manager (Mike Morrow) and the construction personnel. They all worked tirelessly to satisfy our needs in a rushed closing and performed tasks "above and beyond the call of duty"
Sales Knowledge - Anne is fantastic and was very knowledgeable and helpful both before and after the purchase.
Recognized Excellence - Anne Burks is an asset to the community. She has been helpful with getting oriented to the valley and any question one might have.
