Communication was frequent and provided us with regular updates.

Following a fire at my home, the fire department called 1-800-BOARDUP to assist me. They entered my home immediately following the fire, making the site secure from anyone trying to enter my home. They retrieved my personal items that I needed to manage my daily life, and packed up my belongings, cleaned and stored them until I was able to move back in. Everyone was very caring and professional. Kowalski worked with my insurance to rebuild, and they assisted me by ordering specific finishings that suited my taste. I received frequent updates during the process that helped me feel at ease during a traumatic event. They made me feel welcome anytime that I stopped by to check on things. I even learned some things about construction that I never knew before! All of this was accomplished during the covid shutdown, making it more difficult. If anyone needs any construction work done, I highly recommend Kowalski!

I wasn't going to fill this out, but you guys have been a nightmare to deal with. 1. I was going to have you guys do drywall repairs after a remediation and you could never give me an estimate or a date. A competitor did it from call to finish in less than a week. 2. After 9 months I get an invoice from you, because you couldn't get your act together and deal with the insurance company.

Everyone involved with this project was great! I appreciated the flexibility and responsiveness while I was out of state on a wildland fire assignment. We had trust to allow the employees to work alone unattended in our home and they all proved their integrity and our trust in them! Thank you!

They did an excellent job but they where unable to finish the job. I guess the job was to small and they had a bigger job to do that would get them more money.

Timely, professional, quality water damage mitigation and repair.

Kowalski's staff were very professional, considerate, polite and efficient. Water mitigation and restoration were excellent and reasonably priced.

This is a rental property so we were not on site while the work was being done, but Marvin keep us updated as to what he was going to do and then sent us pictures of the water damage. He then explained what was needed as to mitigating the damage. He was very helpful and did a great job.

Kowalski has too many changes of employees to get the job done. Work is left unfinished and PM point out errors that would cost too much to fix. I choose them because I used them when they were small but it was a mistake

See my bad experience with front line staff several months ago when she threatened me with a note to my credit report. Totally unnecessary, and certainly a deal breaker when it comes to repeat business and referrals!!

Though I was remote to the worksite Kowalski communicated well and performed their work competently.

We had a significant roof leak that we didn't catch for 2 days and notified our insurance carrier. Kowalski came to do the remediation work. Incredibly professional group, great communicators, resulting in a pretty easy process.

Right up front we were assured that when the Kowalski workers were done, we would not be able to tell that anything had been done. After spending three weeks cleaning up all the white plaster dust that was scattered throughout our home, we know that was an exaggeration.

When I called to follow up. The company did not know what I was calling about.

Their work was top quality and they conducted themselves very professionally.

Good communication and follow through

Kowalski has not done work for us. We are getting estimates at this time.

Kowalski Construction was efficient and careful during the rebuild for a fire loss. They over came many challenges with supplies being delivered due to Covid -19.

They were prompt so do the initial water damage work. I have been waiting 3weeks for them to submit repair work quote to insurance company. I guess they are not interested in someone and leave their bathroom torn apart for 5 weeks.

I was very happy with the workers. Tom and his team were a pleasure to work with, however Lothar was somewhat pushy and would come into our house without ringing the doorbell. We had our garage worked on, so no reason to come into our home without notification. Lothar also came to the job site and sat and was talking to the workers for no reason. He spent like 20+ minutes chatting when the workers should have been working. Tom has now left Kowalski, but he was a great worker and a nice personality. Lawrence who worked on the painting part of the job did an excellent job as well. Dealing with Lothar was the worse part of my experience, everyone else was great.

Expertise

Expertise - True of all aspects of our projects. We required remediation work following a water leak and then repainting of the affected areas. The remediation team led by Marvin was very very good. Painting was handled by Ron Sadik and Tom Urmston - both did a superb job.

Communication

Communication - Particularly true with regard to job estimating, change orders and related work. Ms. Priscilla Billera handled this aspect of our project and was exceptional in her prompt and professional approach.

Kowalski Construction was courteous, knowledgeable, and walked us through every step of our "disaster". While they may see this every day, they understood that to us, it was a stressful ordeal.
