I am a very satisfied customer. They treated me well.
Installation went good. Job took two days. Salesman said it would be one, but they only sent 3 men instead of 5. Installers didn’t follow recommendation of salesman, just did what was there unless we pointed out prescribed improvements
There is a covering over the front porch over the fascia board. A gap was left. I called them to come out. I have not seen anybody yet.
The only reason I am giving them a 9-star rating instead of a 10- star rating is because I am not out and about much. I am very satisfied with what they did.
The LeafGuard team was responsive to my needs and were able to change the schedule easily. They quickly installed the LeafGuard system and provided quality work with a clear explanation of what they were doing and why.
Snow has been bypassing the gutter and then forming ice on the sidewalk and ground below.
When it snowed there were 2foot to 3 foot icicles hanging down from gutters. The purpose of getting gutters was to prevent ice...
I do not recommend LeafGuard of Colorado to anyone, since I have not been satisfied as a customer. I have not been served the way I think I should have been. I am waiting on the paperwork from them showing that they performed the work.
The product is good and highly rated but the installation crew and Colorado office was sub par.
Salesman apparently omitted a section of the gutter in the quote as he knew they couldn’t do it. Also failed to show color samples. Often impossible to contact anyone in the office, they lie - their story as to why they’re delaying installation changes so they obviously can’t keep straight what they told you last time. An expensive and utterly incompetent operation saved from being a total disaster by their excellent installation teams.
The salesman was terrible.
LeafGuard delivers very poor service.
I have already recommended them.
Great product, works like it was designed to do. Highly recommend this.
They are really great, professional, and provide quality work.
They did a really good job. It took a while for them to get here, but it was understandable. However, they did a great job once they did arrive from the Denver area.
Mine doesn't work.
The sales people, installers, and the product are top notch, but I'm unhappy about being charged for materials (fascia) which were not installed on my home, therefore I won't actively be promoting and recommending Leafguard, but will be happy to give positive feedback about the product itself.
The product does NOT WORK as promised. The planning, scheduling and eventual arrival on-site to do the installation work was chaotic and subject to last minute changes. The salesman measured wrong, so the technicians cut a section of gutter to the wrong length. The price was WAY too high considering the quality of the product and the installation service.
I like the design and layout of the gutters
LeafGuard of Colorado did a wonderful job and there were no problems.
I have a ton of leaves from the tress. I didn't have any issues, and they did great through the winter and the rain.
I love the product and liked the people I worked with on the project. I was not a fan of the general manager because his customer service was not good. The sales process was a little slimy because they wouldn't give any prices and were too intense and timely with their presentation.
You definitely get what you pay for.
This is a great product. It looks great and works well.f
I believe the quality of the materials is very good. The gutters work as expected with rain. I have yet to experience how well they will function during the winter with snow and ice.
I was added to a list of people to call without my knowledge and would not like to be on the list. This is shifting my thought of whether I would ever recommend Leadguard and if I keep getting the calls from people asking when they are talking to the sales person o will actually tell them it is not a good idea as they sell your information without your knowledge. I am likely to recommend via word of mouth but that is quickly changing. Great product and experience overall aside from the unsolicited calls from prospective clients of Leafguard.
They people were very professional and knowledgeable.
They did an excellent job.
Install done professionally.
I am very happy with the produce. Made out of good and strong material. I am happy with the white but it does come in different colors if you want.
Ice cycles/1/4 to 1/2 inch layer on front door steps. Is there a fix??!!
They did a good job all the way through. I like the product, and it worked out good!
I'm satisfied of the job they provided, but they did finish they need to do something to my gutters.
They were really efficient as far as when they said they were going to put the gutters up and they did them in half a day.
We're very satisfied with the work they did while they were here. They are very professional.
Want to wait and see how the gutters function in rain and snow.
I think that they are very nice and polite. I appreciate them coming out.
Problems with Leafguard include lack of communication, poor customer service, incredibly poor design and poor installation.
1. Lack of communication - on the day that we signed the sales contract (May 19), the salesman made a big deal of calling to schedule the installation date for the following Saturday (May 22). When we had no further contact with Leafguard prior to the scheduled installation date, I called and was only able to leave a message. Needless to say no one showed up on the scheduled installation day, nor was there any communication from LeafGuard. There was no further contact from LeafGuard until May 28, when I received a phone call asking if Leafguard could deliver the gutter pieces for installation on the following day (Saturday May 29). So the gutter pieces were fabricated on site and stored in our backyard. Later that morning I had a phone call from Zach (the foreman?) and the salesman. They asked me IF I HAD BEEN ABLE TO FIX THE POWER PROBLEM. WHAT POWER PROBLEM? The sales man claimed he had left me a detailed phone message, I DID NOT RECEIVE SUCH A MESSAGE.
Power Problem - LeafGuard explained that the power to the house would need to be "dropped" so that the aluminum gutter could be safely installed. This was the first time this requirement had been mentioned. I contacted Excel (power company) only to learn that Excel doesn't
make scheduled service calls on the weekend. Throughout that day I left messages for Zach to call me to further discuss installation scheduling. There was NO RESPONSE. Finally late in the afternoon (May 28) I was lucky and Zach answered his phone. WE eventually established an installation date of Friday June 4. I arranged to have the power dropped for June 4 and thought that everything was in place. On June 4 Excel is on site at 8AM and has the power dropped in short order. The LeafGuard installation crew arrived a little later. I told them the power was down and we were ready for installation. They then asked WHERE COULD THEY PLUG IN THEIR EQUIPMENT!!!! I was stunned. How can they demand that the power be dropped and then need to use power on site?? So the installation was postponed until a new date could be established. I am now skipping a lot of details of non communication from LeafGuard but we were finally able to reschedule the installation for Saturday June 12.
Installation - Installation was completed that Saturday afternoon. Over the next several days we were blessed with rainstorms which tested the newly installed LeafGuard system. We found that EVERY CORNER leaked, some corners had substantial leaks. In addition the design and engineering of the system to bring the collected water from the upper roof to the lower roof was A JOKE. LeafGuard felt it was adequate to collect the water on the upper level and then release it on to the lower roof thru drain holes which are disguised as partial downspouts . The result is that the volume of water released from the upper level totally overwhelms the collection capacity of the lower LeafGuard gutter allowing water to cascade off of the lower level onto the patio or at the base of the garage. This is what LeafGuard calls "quality design"
I made a number of phone calls and sent multiple text messages to LeafGuard regarding these installation issues. LeafGuard was unable to reply at any time to discuss. Finally on July 9, I sent a certified letter to the General Manager of LeafGuard of Colorado, listing the installation issues and my other complaints with the poor design. I also left the same text with the national company.
Amazingly a technician showed up the next week and spent multiple hours trying to address the various issues with the installation. After this work was completed the leaks at the corners were diminished. but some of the corners STILL LEAK. He attempted to address the problem of the poor design by replacing the standard LeafGuard gutter top with a perforated top. Since this is the standard LeafGuard solution it makes me regret that I didn't just go with the competitor Leaf Filter and save a pile of money in the process.
LeafGuards are not catching the rain as they said, when it rains it doesn't go to the gutters.
There were many things to appreciate about the installation. The crew was on the job almost immediately after our signing. They did a good job of cleaning up except for some screws we found in the driveway. Our biggest concern was that we do not have a signed contract for the job. It was done and paid for on February 3, 2021. Secondly, the salesman Pat Green promised some things in a 3 hour visit that were not delivered: a $100 gift certificate to a restaurant and a Lowe's gift certificate and a written contract. We called about these and nothing has been forthcoming.
The salesman who estimated our project did not tke into consideration the deck we had on the back and so the first installers had to to come back and their job appeared shotty at best.
The installers did not adhere to the design but did fix one downspout. I'm sure the gutter the other downspouts will perform well but it does not look as good as it could have. We still do not have our eight (8) downspout splash blocks that were promised to us as part of our purchase, despite a promise by phone and email that we would have them within a week. That was almost a month ago and we do not have them. When he called, he said he had six (6) for us. I explained that we should receive eight (8); he said he saw that in the design and would TRY to get all eight (8) to us. No communication since then.
The installers did an excellent job installing, I wish I would have had the LeafGuard years ago.
New gutters
The people the sent to install were really great!
Their advertisement of having just slight icicles during the winter is incorrect. We had 4-foot long icicles, some of which were over entry ways, which posed injury to any guest we had coming into the house.
They were very timely and measured constantly. It was wonderful how they were able to pitch the gutters to make sure the water ran off the right way.
We were pleased with the service provider and we felt the service was excellent.
It's a very good system, but it's a very expensive system.
I was not told about the icicle problem during the sales pitch. It's very bad. It's a lot of money.
