We had stairs added to our existing deck. The crew did a fine job and stayed at it working without any delays. We are very happy with the appearance and the structure of our deck addition.

We had some particular issues and had to keep the rails in place when the flooring was being done because the railing was difficult to take apart and put back. About five contractors either refused or threw their hands up like they couldn't do it that way. Mark Hicks said no problem, and the lead construction guy had no problem with it at all. Several other things needed to be critically thought about, and they were able to do what others couldn't.

Working with the Hicks group was easy and straight forward. From the initial quoting through the final steps, everyone was pleasant and willing to answer questions or concerns. From the office to the crew, or made the project easy.

They were wonderful. They came in, got it done, and fixed the problem we were having. The guys doing the work were on time every day. They didn't mess around. They promised I would feel safe with my grandkids on the deck, and I do. The ladies in the office were so helpful. I had to get permits and my house plans. She took care of it for me. Everything went so smooth and easy. It was the easiest construction job I have ever done in my life. We are definitely very happy.

Absolutely one of the best contractors (Deck or otherwise) that i have ever worked with. Very attentive to customer service and to getting it right. Fairly priced and very organized and honest about timelines. They get back to you very quickly regarding your proposal or with any modifications you make. It is much harder to rehab a deck than to build a new one. I only wish they did kitchens and baths!

There were some materials taken off of my deck that I wanted to have dropped off at my sister's house, who lives in the same area as the company. I called them twice, and they didn't answer until the second time, and by then they told me they had taken the materials somewhere else and that is would be $350 to bring them to my sister's house. If they had answered on the first day when I called the first time it would have been easy because my sister's house was right on their way, but since they didn't it was too late. I would have even had my brother in law come to get the materials if they had answered the first time since he wanted them. Everything else was good and the guys working were nice.

Workers were professional, competent, and respected our property like it was their own.
