We are so blessed to have been fortunate enough to cross paths with our McClurg team. Not only are they the most outstanding in what they do, but (more importantly, in our eyes) they are also genuinely terrific people. We are forever grateful that they guided and supported us through this project, ultimately bringing our dream kitchen to life. Our journey with McClurg started during the height of the pandemic and ended in 2023. We own a hundred-year-old cottage, and we planned on changing a few widows and updating it. Once we started the renovation, we discovered many items needed to be addressed. Upon completion, the only original parts of the cottage remaining were the exterior walls and the fireplace which was given a facelift.

Our primary contact was Jaime Sprague. Jamie helped us with the initial design and worked with us through the entire reconstruction process. We were able to use every available amount of space in our cottage.

We were very happy with the professionals who worked on our cottage. Jim Welch completed most of the work. He is an excellent craftsman. We encountered many design, structural, plumbing, and electrical surprises along the way. Jim always had workable alternatives and solutions. We are very impressed with his creativity, attention to detail, and precise workmanship. This resulted in a truly amazing transformation of our cottage.


McClurg lived up to its reputation of delivering results with integrity and excellence. Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten. We made the right decision to have McClurg to do the work on our cottage.

I've had 2 bad experiences with remodel contractors in the past, both here and another state, and with McClurg, I was always confident that they were going to complete my project well. I never had a worry. The peace of mind was of utmost importance.

My project was begun and completed by the same man, Jimmie, who always kept his appointments, and did his work with the utmost expertise. The painter who came with him at times, Joe, was flawless. Weather stalled the outdoor phase of my job, but Jimmie never forgot it, and showed up whenever the weather permitted. Considering the price of the work, I deserved for it to be perfect, and it was.

Top quality workmanship. Both the trim carpenter, Chris, and painter, Joe, top notch , great to work with.

Kevin is especially professional and concerned that a job is done well. I appreciated his clear presentation of the work to be performed and his follow-up to ensure that we were satisfied after it was completed.

The wife was impressed by how they cleaned up every night. There was a minor problem when they were done, and they bent over backwards until they got it fixed.

The entire process from initial consultation through final walk-through went smoothly and was well coordinated.

I could have used a handyman to do their job, but I chose to go with them due to their reputation to handle the detail and I also wanted the quality that they provided. The work was done professionally, I felt that all the workers were courteous and answered all my questions to my satisfaction.

No. However, I would never say anything bad about Scott McClurg and his organization.

Kevin came out promptly and went over the whole entire project with us. The work started in a timely fashion and even when we had hiccups to deal with the workers maintained their professionalism and still finished in a timely manner. We are very happy with our results!

"You get what you pay for". There were no fears or annoyances when working with McClurg. Anyone we spoke with or worked with at McClurg were clear and concise in their explanation and understanding of our kitchen project. From the beginning stages; design, coordination and construction, McClurg kept to the schedule and communicated the progress at each phase of the project. McClurg is a premium remodeling company - Don't let price get in the way of making such an investment - You can't put a price tag on time, convenience and professionalism!

I would recommend but with the warning that the price is very high.

Site was kept clean, we were kept up to date, and we were always communicated with whenever needed. We had several concerns towards the end of the project which were immediately addressed to our satisfaction. We'll definitely be using McClurg again.
