Why Us? - I felt like the team came to meetings prepared, had great ideas, a realistic timeline and budget, and everyone was very courteous and wanting to meet my expectations. From my first meeting with Rachel and Gregg to the end, I was very happy with the team, especially Roberto, Jensen and Brandon with whom I had the most interaction.

Unique issues (3 project managers) covid delays, gaps in work progress, a few errors (wrong slider, wrong bathroom window, one design error), and slow punch list completion would be caveats to the beautiful job when completed

We wholeheartedly recommend Murray Lampert Design & Build for any home remodeling needs. We bought our home 18 years ago and just made minor improvements since then, putting off til a later day all the things we wanted to do to make it more livable. Life with two active kids took over and delayed any renovation plans. Now, being empty nesters, the time finally arrived for us to take the big step and do what we’ve been dreaming of for years: remodel most of our house (including removing walls), going open-concept with a great new kitchen, moving a bathroom, a complete plumbing overhaul, and more.We started our conversation with Murray Lampert knowing they’d done beautiful work in the neighborhood for several friends, and knowing how much they valued their work and relationship with the Cantor family, owners of Murray Lampert. My husband and I met with Rachel Cantor, their Director of Design, and explained what we were hoping to achieve. She returned shortly with a realistic estimate that helped guide our conversation further. Doing our due diligence, we interviewed other construction companies but always came back to Murray Lampert. The detailed information we received, the warmth we felt from the Cantor family, their commitment to our satisfaction (and budget), countless recommendations from friends, their stellar reputation in the design community, combined with the reasonable price, sold us. From the beginning, we knew we were in good hands. Gregg Cantor provided great oversight of his team, always checking in and staying on top of what was happening with our project. The entire team took ownership of our happiness and care of our home and family. They took on managing an overwhelming process and schedule, leading us step by step and keeping us on target. Another Rachel (Bancroft) was our ML designer and she was amazing, providing terrific insight and putting up with constant questions and several changes. The 3D modeling was a fantastic tool, helping clarify the vision and projected outcome. Budget was important to us and the ML team kept us on target, with Lisa Cantor keeping the finances straight. Daily updates on the construction from Don our project manager kept us looped into what was happening. Communication is critical to any big project, and everyone on the ML team was an expert – responding promptly to any questions and keeping us constantly informed. Our beautiful project was finished on time and on budget.In the end, we’re so incredibly happy with our remodel! We feel like we live in a brand new home…modern, bright, and completely in line with all our dreams. And we’ve made some great new connections with the Murray Lampert family – we know who we’re calling if we start having any new ideas!

Why Us? - Their experience and relationship with the San Diego County Building/Permit division was essential to address our original house purchase in 1985 that we subsequently discovered had a garage conversion without a permit by the previous owners. Further, there was no statute of limitations to address the illegal conversion.

My overall experience with Murray Lampert was good. Since this was our second time using Murray Lampert, I expected a little more. As with any remodel, issues will arise. I understand that. But it is how these isues are handled. I think the quality of our custom cabinets is very poor. LTD's (cabinet people) customer service is also poor. We are still having issues with our cabinets. So the question that comes up is...Will I use Murray Lampert again? The answer...If I have another project, I will definitely get a quote from Murray Lampert and compare it to at least two other companies. If I need some sort of cabinetry, I would not use LTD. Murray Lampert would have to use another cabinet company.

Murray Lampert helped us solve a lot of major problems we had at the house, such as issues with plumbing, electrical issues, coordinating with the city on the new water meter, as well as doing interior remodeling. We knew they would be very cost effective, provide quality work, and meet the challenges we had.

We have had two projects handled by Murray Lampert Design, Build, Remodel and could not be happier. The first project was a major kitchen and dining room overhaul that also involved new flooring and plumbing throughout the house. In addition to normal remodel woes there was also a mold exposure problem. They helped in every area and made sure that everything was handled properly assisting us with insurance and remediation issues. Our second project was a complete overhaul of our master bedroom and bath. Since we were so happy the first time, there was no question of us using them again. Once again they proved themselves and did a marvelous job. I highly recommend using Murray Lampert.

In all, our addition finished almost in half the time that was originally quoted, and also to perfection. Truthfully, we wish we had another project - we're going to miss everyone!

We had complete trust with Murray Lampert and they exceeded our expectations. The professioanlism exhibited from the very beginning with the design of our project and the review of the contract was so thorough we felt extremely confident we were in the right hands.
