Our experience with Neil-Kelly was exceptional from beginning to end. They transformed the miniscule kitchen and bath in our 120 year-old house into beautiful and useful space. Significantly improved how we live in our house.

Robby Barham was our designer and we were really pleased with his design ideas and solutions for our galley kitchen. Robby was attentive throughout the design process to address our requests and needs. He provided several thoughtful and artistic options with budgets and with his help, we chose the best design solution that we will appreciate for years to come.

Project Manager, Spenser Boeck and his assistant, Zoe Pressly, inspired confidence throughout the entire project. Their planning and communication skills were excellent. They provided timely response and solutions to unforeseen issues that showed up during the project, which always resulted in a positive outcome.

Master carpenter, Ram and his assistant, Knoll, showed attention to details in their craftmanship and work. Ram had the ability to anticipate challenges with our older home, and always developed solutions for implementation of the design plan. Both Ram and Knoll were friendly and easy to work with.

Wonderful to work with the Neil Kelly team. They installed handicap access in the guest bedroom and bath which does not look obviously handicap… Also completely removed dry rot and reinstalled two difficult wood windows and redid a deck with new doors off the master bath to the deck. We are very happy with their professionalism and their addressing every concern we had to our satisfaction.

Areas Of Satisfaction - -All workers respected our home & privacy, carefully letting us know when to expect them, and doing their best to keep our home clean. -Designer & project manager spent a lot of time meeting with us to understand our vision, and show us the many options available. -They did not try to talk us into a bigger project. -Once completed, the project is beautiful, and all materials are top-quality.

They did what they said they were going to do.

I appreciate the amount of detail and explanation that preceded the contract for signing. I originally called for help with deteriorating holes in the wall above the gutter box above my deck. Cal went all around the exterior of the house noting possible problem areas. Then he took me around and we discussed each item. There were instances of rotted wood around several windows; deck that needed power washing, then repairs and staining; some concrete slabs I wanted broken up and removed from the patio beneath the deck; generally, maintenance that we homeowners had neglected for several years. Between Cal and Christian, different teams with different expertise were assigned for the tasks. All were on time, efficient, and professional. Also nice people. When Parr Lumber dropped off materials at the end of the work day one time, and simply left them lying in the driving lane of this narrow street (no sidewalks or gutters), I discovered this fact after the end of the working day. I called Cal, and he went above and beyond and came over ASAP to personally move the items from the street to the available area on the driveway we'd agreed on. The Parr delivery folks did not even come to the door to ask me about where to drop the materials, and I was home if they'd asked. I am very pleased with the repairs to house wall, window frames, and deck. In this old house, some of the repairs took good advance planning and creativity by the teams doing the physical work. Some items were work added on as things went along and approved by me. I looked at what was suggested and accepted all those suggestions. I am happy to continue to ask NK for work on projects because you can contact the right experts and manage the process to get things done. I do not want nor need to be the "general contractor" on any of this type of work. NK and I have more planned, a big shed demo and rebuild of a smaller footprint shed; also replacing a number of 2x2 wood strips that go between the patio concrete slabs. This is all work that I wouldn't have had any idea who to call, otherwise.

My bathroom is just right. It looks perfect to me with colors I like. I have recommended Neil Kelly company to friends.

Neil Kelly people and process met or exceeded our expectations in most regards. When there was a problem with one of the subs their people made sure it was resolved to a high standard.

Wade's skills and can-do style made it possible to have the outdoor lighting we wanted when others said it wasn't possible. More than that, Wade's sense of humor was a so welcome - he made me laugh every time I saw him!

Very nice job. Was a bit more spendy than I anticipated, but that got worked out just fine.

Neil Kelly did a great job! They completed the project in a timely manner, the price was good, and they provided quality workmanship.

We struggled with their design process, which seemed to progress very slowly despite having made most design decisions ahead of deadlines, until there was a urgency to get documents signed and payments made. So much so, that place holders were used in the contract that were different than our agreed upon selections. There were communication issues between the designer and the project manager, then the initial designer left the job and information was not corrected. There were further communication issues with the project manager and the electrician, the flooring contractor, the plumber, and ultimately with us (the clients). This left us with differently shaped tile than we discussed and would have ended up with different flooring had we not happened to stop by to see progress and catch it prior to install.
We were told that we could pick items from a specific retailer in order to receive the Neil Kelly discount, only for the subcontractors to purchase items elsewhere. We ended up having to spend a lot more money (and stress) to live elsewhere during times when little to no work was being done. Not because of natural construction delays (which are always expected), delayed delivery of items, or unexpected construction discoveries, but because several days or more were scheduled for work that then took 1 day or less and the schedule was not adjusted. There were also times where it seemed as though our project manager was confusing our project with others because there were so many going on at once.
The final product was great, the process to that final product was not. Our presumption that the price we paid for that final product would have included more organized management, was not a reality. Our biggest take away was that we really needed to be there at every step on the way to make sure work was getting done on schedule and according to the plan.

I have had both my kitchen & bathrooms remodeled by Neil Kelly. Overall, it has been a positive & satisfactory experience. I especially appreciate Master carpenter Jason as he has been integral in both projects. He should be considered a most valuable employee with a wide range of talents & experience.

The carpenters did fantastic work, especially Jamie, who spent the most time at our house and took care of all sorts of matters (and who, according to my dog, is basically a member of our family). A kitchen remodel is a huge, disruptive undertaking, and I’m very glad we chose Neil Kelly to do it.
