Had a good experience with Nelson

We were very pleased with the way Nelson Exteriors handled our painting. They did a great job of pressure washing our windows (and front porch and small retainer wall), repairing rotten wood, scraping old paint, repairing holes in the frames around front windows, painting windows and doors, and staining our deck. it all looks great!

From initial consult to completion of project, we really liked our experience. Great customer service in the office as well! Shout out to Lyndsey!

Definitely. From the moment we met Jake Mifsud to the final Punch List Review with Omar, we wouldn't have any other company handle any and all of our home's outside projects.

The work was exactly we expected. We wanted the deck rebuilt to meet the Building Code standards and that added a little time waiting for the City Building Department representative to fit his inspection into his schedule. But it was all built to Code which will add value to our house. The workman were all courteous and arrived promptly on time and worked all day.. Our old deck was cleanly removed and all the debris taken away. Definitely would recommend Nelson Exteriors to anyone wanting similar work done on their house.

I was very pleased with my experience with Nelson Exteriors. Everyone that I dealt with from the at home consultation person, the painters, and the project manager were very professional and courteous. They answered all of my questions. They careful moved my furniture and covered the floors.

Overall, a great experience when having our house painted and windows sealed. They were patient as we dealt with our HOA, which required we change paint schemes, deciding on what we wanted, getting actual paint codes and then getting approval from the HOA, which alone took a month.

The estimator did not include everything, apparently, in the estimate. I was hit with change orders before I had my first cup of coffee on the very first morning. All I told the estiminator was to identify everything that needed to be done. He gave me the quote and I did not appreciate having additional change orders given to me. In addition, I had spoken to the estimator about using composite wood to replace the deck railing. It was written kind of in that way in the quote. It said that all replacements would be made of composite wood. Then I was told that that didn't mean the deack rails. I was hit for an addition change order for that; however, it was already agreed upon with the estimator to begin with. When I asked to get the estimator on the phone to confirm what we had agreed on, I was told the estimator was on vacation and could not be reached. Which I felt was crap. I am sure he had a phone and I am sure his boss said it was going to cost more of this, so they passed that right on down to me, which is what I asked for at the very beginning so I didn't have any surprises. I got hit with $700 worth of change orders for that and another $600 to replace the boards that they bought with the composite that I originally agreed to with my estimator. These two things drive me nuts.

Communication was an issue. The crew did not speak English.

Everything has been good. The service and responses have been excellent, and there was also on-board communication.

We would recommend Nelson to any of our friends and family without reservation.
