The company is good. They came when I needed them to come and were a nice group of guys who were professional with what they did in my condo.
I had 2 men working here, Scott and Dan the emergency mitigation team. They were excellent. Really excellent! Their project manager, Jason was hot and cold. Sometimes he was responsive, and sometimes I'd call 3 times, and not get what I wanted after 3 times. He did not always let me know what was going on. I would have to go after him. Scott and Dan were excellent, Jason was ok.
After a "black water" accident damaged our kitcehn cabinets, floor, and appliances, Paul Davis did an excellent job writing a replacement plan that actually upgraded the quality. We had a good team of plumbers, electrical, carpentry, cabinetry, and manager Jeremy. Strengths-knowledgeable about high end work, and flexible to our requests. eg Jeremy advocated for us with insurance company and secured generous settlement. Carpenters extended work to resurface second floor hard wood floors. Weaknesses-there was lack of/mis-communication between contractors, eg plumber removed the water heater and turns off water without telling family, water was turned back on and caused flooding. Pictures of cabinets should have been taken before removal to inform replacement of gaps between cabinet and refrigerator; and stove fan no longer vents outdoors. Also, the timetable for job was much prolonged beyond promised date. Some of this was attributable to Covid. I would recommend them but would insist on better communication between contractors. Could the GM visit more often to keep abreast of work done?
All you can hope for when you get restoration is someone you can talk to that gets back to you on a consistent basis and gets done as physically fast as physically possible and Paul Davis did a great job that way, never had an issue getting in touch with them and they were here as early as they could get depending on weather and workload.
ABSOLUTELY NOT .The only reason they have 1 star is it won't let me leave it blank .. Company started off great removing water damage materials ,and stored furniture in pod in driveway and installed fans to start drying floors. But then it all down hill from there ..After 6 months of waiting i called Allstate Insurance to throw Paul Davis off of job site . Allstate smoothed everything out and job was completed ,except for some minor paint and trim work which took anther 2 months from them to return to finish .
Majority of their subcontractors were disrespectful of my home, lazy and exceeded timeline for completing a "simple" reconstruction/repair job. I would not recommend to family or friends.
