The team from mitigation to completion were great! Ty Kim! Ty Rob! Ty Dokken and crew! Ty Keith. In a time of stress they made it all ok:)
They took months after taking 100% of the money my insurance company approved for the entire job to even submit for the permit... which failed to be approved before the application expired because they submitted in and didn't check on it for weeks. They eventually re-submitted multiple times until it was approved. Then COVID stuck and they closed their business for months. When things got back to normal (as far as construction, anyway), we were told it would take something like 6 weeks... it took more than double that before I was so fed up that I was ready to sign their document and get them the f out of my life. They painted my hand-made and hand-painted owl box as well as my brand new windows with paint overspray and refused to fix either. The trim on the outside of my garage was replaced with mismatched widths and painted mismatched colors. They walled over one my outlets (thankfully I took before pictures and was able to definitively tell that that was the reason for the hugely bowed wall sheathing). One of their workers kept smoking inside by garage. I had to keep pointing out stuff that was on their own employee's work bid (and stuff that should have been on there since their employee was actually present prior to removal of the old damaged materials). Holes in wall sheathing for electrical outlets were too large so there are gaps around all the outlet covers. I'm sure there is other stuff that I'm not recalling at the moment. Thankfully, the job is done and, once I've fixed a few more things, I'll have my garage back. I will never use Paul Davis Restoration again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone that has a choice.
They were lifesavers at helping us get through this process. We could never have done it without them. We were so discouraged. Didn't see how we would ever have our downstairs again until they came along. Kim kept us on top of the ongoing process even through restrictions caused by the Pandemic. All the contractors and workers were efficient and did an awesome job of putting our downstairs back together again. We are thrilled at the workmanship on our cabinets, and floors. Every single person coming in to work was friendly and efficient. Every thing they touched works. Seems like they aspired to doing a good job. We love our new downstairs.
Paul Davis Restoration was in there and wanted to help. We had to leave to go back east for a while and they held back. Then Covid came in and when we got back they were very eager to help us. It took a long time but they did a good job.
They do not proactively communicate and are not reliable.
Never.
PDR is a trustworthy contractor. My project wasn’t “issue free” and we had some issues with timelines and workmanship of the contractors. They could have easily blown us off in favor to start their next project. Instead, PDR stood by their responsibilities, hired a new crew, and made everything right. I will absolutely call them for my next project simply because how they took accountability for their work.
I would rate this statement a 2, but I think it was the leadership.
