Roof is good with good materials used. Expensive. High pressure sales tactics. Salesperson overpromised jobsite cleanup including promising that nets would be used to catch debris and yard would be magged several times to pick up nails. When I asked the jobsite foreman about the promised nets, he had no idea what I was talking about and seemed to indicate that the nets weren't reasonable.

My husband handled all the details with the people, unfortunately he passed away and all I can say is he was pleased with the outcome.

I was extremely impressed with the salesman’s presentation and his explanation of the product. He was very thorough and helpful. But the person who came to do the work had me open my garage and left without any explanation.

I would definitely recommend Proper Roofing. The original presentation covered everything very well, so I knew exactly what I was getting. All the work progressed in a timely manner and I was kept informed at all times. I appreciated the professionalism and the quality of work.

The sales guy is pretty aggressive. I tried to kick him out three or four times. He seems pretty persistent and was not accurate in his information.

Skilled sales tech. Project scheduled shortly after. Materials delivered on time. Project began early next day and completed that evening. Additional bad decking was found and replaced. Inspector checked for leaks and damage. Cleanup was thorough.

The roof was great, but the clean-up after the roof was horrible. We picked up over 200 nails. They had to come back the next business day with a magnetic roller. I do not know how many they picked up, but we personally picked up over 200 nails.

Other than a request confirmation of the job email, so the loan provider could initiate billing.

They left the job site clean at the end of the day. The company did not sell me what they were supposed to. The company came out as a subcontractor. My drip edges are dented and have holes. The eves are also an issue. There are a lot of things I am not happy with. I can see bare wood on the seams. They never emailed, me a copy of the contract.

I've called them repeatedly with problems and they say they will call back and never do they've damaged ductwork in my attic and will not fix

The roofing work began at 5 a.m. and was continued all day. At the end of the day, I had a new roof. The cleanup was complete.

The reason it's not a five is that it's too soon to know the results and how well the work holds up. I feel that communication could have been better; I would have appreciated a more effective way of communicating with clients. I understand it's a very busy season, but I was under the impression that the foreman would be here with the workers, which didn’t happen. My biggest issue was communication. The project manager did eventually get through to me, and it was taken care of. They explained the product to me, and the salesperson was good at explaining what they would be doing on my rooftop, which is what convinced me to go with them, even though I had quotes for less from other contractors. However, the price is high, so I can't fully recommend them. Maybe it's a good product, and in a year, I can call and provide a better evaluation.

They showed up as promised, did exactly what I contracted for, the employees were courteous and helpful, and they left my property clean and with no sign of work having been done. The roof is beautiful, and for the first time in many years the air conditioner is cycling on & off during the hottest period of the day. I will know when my electric bill comes in how much of a difference the radiant barrier and insulation will make in the efficiency of my air conditioner. I have already recommended them to three people and will continue to do so.

This is a 3.5 rounded up to 4. That Proper Roofing is on the high side of cost loses a star because not everyone is inclined to pay a premium. Proper Roofing justifies the higher cost based both on superior roofing products (shingles, vents, etc.) and a superior roofing service. No complaints about the crew who were industrious and good at their jobs. The minus additional half-star is for the gap between sales pitch and performance (see 11 below).

We appreciated the time spent going over the options and the process. After listening to the options we felt confident and trusted that this was the right company for us to go with. There are hundreds who have come through our neighborhood trying to get our business- but we chose y’all!!!
