While the employees that I met were nice, they didn't have a strong contractor background. The callbacks, followup, and contractors were not very good. It took 7 months to get my bathroom done from start to finish. That was just in the work because I went through four contractors. In the end, the final work was subpar, and I will fix it myself. Even the gentleman who came out here to get the final payment didn't want to go look at the work that was done because he was embarrassed by the whole situation. From start to finish, when they first came out to look at it and give me a quote, no one ever called me back; I had to call them. They told me that they wouldn't be able to do the job at the price that they bid. They said that they did it wrong. I told them that I didn't care because it was an insurance claim. I asked them to come back to give another bid. There was a $7,000 difference. The problem I have with Restoration Specialist is that they don't have any physical employees. They are the contractor that was recommended by my insurance company. That contractor hired another contractor, who hired subcontractors. It was really weird. I don't know how they make any money off of it unless it is that overpriced. The first contractor came in and said that he wanted more money. The gentleman that Restoration hired, RentalMax, said no. They dropped their stuff and left. The second two kids that came out offered to trim my trees because they did that on the side. The third contractor that came out was the tile guy. He was actually pretty nice and very thorough. The drywall guy they sent out was okay. The fifth contractor they sent out to finish the work was good until the last day. He came out on a Sunday. The Sunday work did not look good at all. I was upfront and honest with Herschel. I told him that I was not happy. I am glad that it is done. It shouldn't have taken as long as it did. They told me that it would take 14 days. 23 vacation days later, having my daughter-in-law sit here, and 7 months later, the bathroom is done.

Not sure what happened but project took a lot longer than it should have.

The project manager did the best he could with what you guys gave him. Other than that, no way, I'll tell people to stay away from you and to not work with you.

They did great work! At the end I got what was promised to me.
