Pretty good, but I am not sure how Semper Solaris differentiates itself. The project took over a year, but I am happy with the end outcome. The credit union (Blue Peak) is a disorganized mess, but that is not directly on Semper Solaris.
Not happy with the roof job, poor communication on it, and it looks horrible
I had to have my roof done. It took months and months before I got it done. I signed in the summer, and it didn't get done until the fall.
Overall experience was clear and to the point.
I don't feel they put effort into what they sell. The salesmen do a great job selling products, but what they say is not true. They use subcontractors, but that is not what the salesman tells you.
My experience so far with Semper Solaris has been very positive. They have kept an open line of communication as to project status, provided all necessary documentation in a timely fashion, scheduled and completed my roof installation in a timely fashion (one day to remove old roof, next day to install new roof), and did a great clean up job. The roof looks great and will give me peace of mind for many years to come.
The staff is good and easy to work with. They stand for what we should all stand for, the USA.
Communication on this project has been terrible. Though we contracted to have this done three months earlier, Semper Solaris only scheduled the roof installation after I was ready to change vendors, and began communicating as much. Roofing was subcontracted and poorly managed, leaving exposed studs which I called to there attention and would never pass inspection. To fix what was forgotten, their subcontractor had to come out twice--the last time still finishing while the building inspector was there. The Owens Corning materials seem good, though I'm surprised they sell through jokers .
I had 5 estimates on my job. I felt that the one I received from Semper Solaris was the one to accept considering the work that was to be done. There needed to be 2 delays but each time they let me know ahead. The workers were very considerate of my property and always started work on time.
My roofing project was mismanaged from the very beginning. Communication with Semper Solaris management was difficult at best. The fact they claimed to only use employees on their projects was the only reason I went with them. I am a former Marine myself, which is another reason I went with them. The end product satisfies me, but from the beginning to the end was very unorganized. The sales department said that my attic would be cleaned at the end of the project, but the construction crew had no idea this had been promised. After numerous phone calls to Maxim's boss, Carlos, and after three or four visits from Maxim, they finally sent a contractor to clean the attic. He did an okay job.
They were very professional and communicated well. The staff is very nice. For everyone I have spoken with from sales to now, the customer service has been phenomenal.
I reached out to 10 roofing companies. 5 did not return my request for bids. 2 did not know how to handle removing and installing my current solar panels. 2 could not give me a cost for removing and reinstalling my current solar panels. Only Semper Solaris could give me a quote. That is the only reason they got the contract.
