I have already recommended Semper Solaris Construction Inc. to four friends.
The company was less communicative than I would like and we’re still waiting for some items to be fixed but generally the
They did good with the roofing project.
Do you really need Solar.
The job went faster than we could imagine. Everyone on the team was polite and efficient at their work. They did a great job and kept the patio and the area clean all the time we almost didn’t know they were here and within a couple of days they were finished we’re so happy with the results, the roof looks beautiful. It made our whole property look like a new house thank you so much simper Solaris.
Contractor answered my questions to my satisfaction.
In short, your communication throughout the whole process was terrible, and the project took over a year and four months to complete. The workmanship on the roof was subpar.
semper solar did not come back to turn on the tesla power wall and fill in the ditch
Semper Solaris did our solar installation a few years ago and it has run perfectly ever since. They did not gouge us by putting on a new roof at the time, but with a series of heavy rainstorm, our neighbors began having leaks. We put on a new roof as a precaution. It was a complicated jopb because the solar panels had to be removed first and reinstalled and that required new permitting. But Semper handled it flawlessly and now we have solar power AND a new roof
We are very happy with the results of our new roof installation
You cannot beat the 50 year warranty for your roof! The peace of mind that goes along with that is priceless!
Even with Weather delay the communication was great. The project manager kept me informed every step of the way..
defintely NOT.
This was a good experience, and i am happy to recommend this company. Everything was described in advance, there were no surprises, and the work was accomplished smoothly and on time. All personnel were professional and pleasant to deal with.
I paid for my old solar panels to be taken off and put back on. My project has been done since january and no one has come back to re-install those. I have called your 800 number, the proj mgr i worked with , my sales person and they all say we will get this done and after 4 months nothing. Also when i had my roof redone i had a part of my porch redone by your co and it has a big gap where bees can grow a hive or a small animal can crawl into as well as parf of my new roof is lifted. Also this has been reported and no one has come out! Very unsatisfied.
Had a wonderful experience from the initial consult to the finished project. Communications were timely, transparent and professional.
Would recommend for the actual work, both roof and solar, but not for customer service.
They did a great job.
The work and materials were great. But getting to the work was an absolute nightmare! It seemed that the solar side of the company had no communication with the roofing side. We experienced delay after delay. We were promised that we would have a new roof by May 31st. We finally got the roof the middle of DECEMBER. I am not sure that I would wish that on any of my friends. Here it is the middle of FEBRUARY, and things are still waiting to be corrected.
I just found out the finance company you referred me too is strong arming me to give them my tax refund or they will refinance the loan with a higher payment. I suppose this may have been buried somewhere in the pages and pages I electronically signed, but Mr. Champagne never mentioned this. II am upset and will not recommend Semper Solaris to my friends or neighbors. This is sneaky and I am shocked would refer people to this lender. Completely unacceptable and underhanded. You can’t trust anyone these days, not even a veteran owned business.
Semper Solaris was not what I was expecting.
Great service and communication
The communication with the customer is all over the place. The communication between. Sales department, Roofing department and solar department is some of the worse I have ever experienced.
Great quality roof tiles, very courteous and friendly workers, and timely completion!
I was nervous about such a big step but it was a good experience from beginning to the end of my roof and solar installation.
If asked about my experience I will be sure to let others know. I would love for someone higher up in Semper to contact me to discuss my experience during this process. Maybe they could make it right.
There is some great disappointment in the length of time the project is taking. Some of it early on was due to weather, but we have gone way past that. I had to go back and change the design plans and do my own measurements. There are some systematic errors within Semper Solaris Construction that need to be rectified.
I am not likely to recommend Semper Solaris Construction Inc to a friend. Overall, I was dissatisfied with the company.
I would never recommend your company not one Veteran was on my roof as you brag about that on your commercials Kelly Shawhan you should be a shame to even claim he hires Veterans because like I said NOT one Veteran was on my roof and not one spoke English very bad. I had to be the project manager on the Saturday they were here because they wanted to finish quickly so when I called Christian and he finally showed up about three or four he said to my wife and I that he had a family and deserved to spend time with them. He was helping his brother putting a roof for someone else. Kelly we went with you because I am a 22 year retired disable Veteran and your commercial always say Veteran fist. Well this Veteran was not first. You Sub out your roof work as Christian said no white man will work on the roof in the sun. And one of the workers asked can I use your Bano first day he must have just peed because the second day he left his dirty toilet crap paper in our trash can. My wife was so grossed out. But after what we seen from your company we were not completely shocked. I have told a lot of Veterans at the VA where I have worked for 21 years DO NOT DO business with your company. No good. Tammy
They were really organized and timely.
Semper Solaris Construction Inc was really great. They were good, on time, very professional, and did a really great job.
I believe Semper Solaris is a quality solar company, but I would ask them to screen their roofing contractors better.
Homeowner beware. Do not use Semper Solaris Construction.
In spite of really bad weather the project resumed on schedule.
I would give them a negative star if there was one for recommending them.
The construction crew and work were fine, but the communication with the permitting process and management of the overall process was poor.
I was very pleased. The work is high quality.
The rating is due to the previously mentioned things I've said.
The supervisor for the roofing company argued with me. He had an attitude.
All was great… excellent service..!
Semper Solaris Construction subcontract their work.
The 3 installation crews for the roof, solar, and HVAC all did an amazing job and were very nice to talk with. They answered any and all questions we had about the install and were very patient. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for this type of work.
I am very pleased so far so good. This was a huge investment.
The project went off with our a hitch they did a great job and were efficient and cleaned up after each days work.
Owen corning product is excellent. Semper Solaris Construction installation and management caveat emptor. Buyer beware. Be prepared for anything with this organization.
I've already recommended Semper Solaris Construction Inc to several people.
The product has a great 50-year warranty and it looks good.
I don't want to waste my time explaining what is wrong with this company. They are a ZERO in my opinion. Over priced and under equipped to do the job right the first or even the second time.
I am dissatisfied with the entire project, the outcome, and the four months of incomplete work.
We had Semper Solaris (SS) install both a new roof and solar panels. The process was easy and installation of both occurred within a couple of months from initial meeting. Communication between us and SS was ok but not great. These are the issues we encountered:During the roof installation, there was a miscommunication between the on-site roofing sub-contractor and the SS office. The on-site roofers (sub-contractors out of North county) said that the sub roof was ok and did not need any plywood replacement. However, the office contacted us and said that we did need new plywood and that each piece of plywood would be extra. When we told the office what the on-site workers said, they appologized for the miscommunication and did not charge us extra. Also during the roof installation, our DIRECTV satellite had to be moved to a new location. DIRECTV charges for this and to reconnect the dish to the satellite. SS did not tell us we needed to move and re-install the dish until the roofers arrived. SS said they would give us a credit for this extra charge but I do not believe this occurred. During the solar installation, when the city inspector came out to approve the electrical panel, apparently he was not in a good mood. At first, he said everything looked good. He then went to his truck and when he came back he had changed his mind. It seemed that he did not like the SS guy sent to meet with him, or at least did not like what the SS guy said, which caused us to have to spend $650 to “clean up” the panel. The inspector said he would return to re-inspect but then never returned. This caused a delay to get the next phase. Finally, SDG&E took quite a while to give us the final approval to begin using the solar system. I felt like I had to be the one pushing to get this final approval rather than SS following up with SDG&E and me. No one from SDG&E or SS ever came during the three weeks we waited for approval. We kept asking why there was a delay. SDG&E said they were waiting for a picture of the panel but SS said they had already sent it.A few weeks ago, a SS rep reached out to us to see if we were happy with the new roof and solar system. We told the rep that we did not like the new attic vents because they do not move out the hot attic air and that we wanted to see about either getting whirly bird vents again or some other type of vent that actually moves the air. The rep said he would find out and get back to us. That has not happened.Overall, we are very happy with both our new roof and our solar system. We are making power and our current SDG&E bill balance is in negative territory, even though we’ve been running our A/C more than ever!
