I would advise that friend to be vocal and not assume things are going to happen the way that they want it to.

They never completed the work we had a signed contract for. Gave them $999.99 for deposit, then waited and waited for them to close up my ceiling that came down because of water leak. Once they realized they couldn’t find a subcontractor to do the work a Servpro Estimator came up with, they said they wouldn’t finish the job and left me hanging.... to find my own contractor. Servpro does not do the work.... they only use subcontractors. I will NEVER USE SERVPRO AGAIN AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM. Never had a company refuse to do the work they signed up for....take my money.....then default on the contract!

I asked the company at one point if they were going under a reorganization because there were so many problems, even the billing department. My problem started on Dec 22nd they started the work right away for the dry out. Then when it was time for the construction phase 2, the issues started. I had to ask them to come back and fix those issues. I asked them to send me an invoice for the work that was going to happen. I wanted to pay beforehand so they could not say I never paid or be charged late fees. I sent them the check for repairs and still never got a complete invoice at the end. They just seemed to have all-around issues. I've never dealt with a company that handles their work so unprofessionally. It seems this company was this inexperienced. They were given to me as a reference and that person told me they did an excellent job for their dry out. He did not use them for the second phase. He started to use them for the second phase and let them go. I wanted everything done by one company but clearly they do not have it together.

The crew was very sympathetic during we endured during the time. The manager was very professional and they all did what they were supposed to do. We really appreciate everything they did. I was very please with them and they were an awesome team.

Lesson learned: don’t judge a company by its commercials, do your homework and make sure the company you choose Can actually do the job right the first time. Servpro did not live up to its claims.

Employees Professionalism - Servpro Team came in and made a horrible situation easy. When you are hit with a major freeze flooding it's good to know that that the Servpro Team can guide you step by step with what is going on to put you at ease. This Team is the best considering that the winter conditions they were working in was unbearable but they forged together and did an amazing job. The Servpro Team is recognized for superb excellence. Everyone I dealt with was super friendly and very knowledgeable. I was practically friends with the workers. They were great. I would welcome them into my home for dinner anytime.

I wouldn't give 1 star if I had a choice it would be "0". They put the machines in and every day they were supposed to check on it we got a call and said someone wasn't able to come. Additionally when they did take out the machines for water mitigation, there was still puddles of water on the ground. I had to hire an additional water mitigation service to come in and put drying equipment in my basement for an additional two weeks before it was actually dry. I am not sure why on earth my insurance company paid the bill of the water mitigation service because it was not done when they left.
