Easy to work with and excellent product quality

I already have recommended Smith Douglas because of Johnathan Ontiveros. I’ve heard some nightmare stories about new builds but with him he put those stories to rest.

I feel like the quality of Smith Douglas Homes is better than any of the other companies that I checked out. They had a much greater variety of choices to pick from for the things you want in your home.

Connie was absolutely amazing! She was so patient and sweet! Answered all my questions and kept me updated every step of the way with dates and pictures of my new home as the construction moved along! Im extremely grateful for her expertise and my first experience in purchasing a home through Smith Douglas.

There are still findings from my inspection that are still to be done and I get no proactive feedback.

This is my second time buying a home from Smith Douglas Homes and as expected, they have been nothing but professional and caring. I received updates every week and any question I had was answered in a timely matter. Lara is just the best at making sure buyers feel at ease and making sure everything goes smoothly. And Jonathan has made sure everything is working properly in my home and any question or request I have he is very quick to reply or stop by the house. He never makes me feel like I’m bothering him. SDH offered a great move in offer. ShaKoya the Community Manager was always readily available and willing to assist with any questions or issues. Cosmetic and electrical issues to home and community could have been reviewed more closely.

Overall, it was a great experience.

When I got the place, it was nice, and they did a good job. The only issues that I had were more on the subcontractors work with the doors not latching and the paint job. I think Smith Douglas Homes could vet their subcontractors more deeply to make sure that they are doing what they are supposed to with the homes.

I absolutely loved working with Lara. She made my buying experience easier. However, I would not recommend a Smith Douglas home only because the builder does not sod the entire back yard. Paying $10K for a lot premium and not having the entire back yard sodded is not acceptable. Especially when you must pay a lot premium. On top of that, with all the heavy rain we experienced, all the grass seeds and straw washed away - leaving my back yard muddy.

I love our home but some practices feel intentionally deceptive. Id likely tell them to go to another Smith Douglas neighborhood.

The whole process was smooth and easy.

Honestly the people we've encountered in our build process and now with the warranty issues (all minor) have been great - friendly and knowledgeable. We see the builder and the sales agent from time to time and they are still friendly with us.

I am very pleased with Smith Douglas at this time. I had an issue with significant damage to my driveway. Smith Douglas addressed my concerns and were able to accommodate me. I am very pleased with the customer service I received from them regarding this issue. Jonathan was fantastic throughout the entire process. He answered all my questions, he always kept me updated on what was going on, and was very professional. Because of this customer service I would consider buying another Smith Douglas Home in the future.

What I loved the most about my experience was the one-on-one attention I received from the SDH staff. I first visited the Austell home sight in January of 2025. I met Khalilah Harrington and from that day through closing (even beyond!) I felt like I was the center of attention. She kept me informed, updated and in the loop of everything that was going on as my home was being built. She helped me make design decisions and gave her honest opinions about the options I was considering. She was in constant communication with me, the preferred lender, my realtor and the builders. She even would send me videos and pictures as the builders progressed. I honestly don't know if I would have chosen SDH if it were not for Khalilah's professionalism, patience and focus. She definitely is reason my experience was so great!

I am likely to recommend Smith Douglas Homes to a friend because they've met all the needs that I have, very good quality building and the people were nice to work with. There are a few issues around the house, but nothing major.
