They lie about product features, no, they don't have built-in heaters to get snow off as told, they never respond back, not even the sales manager, called 3 times. Of course installation was fine, problems after the sale are never addressed.Buer beware of getting work done by this company, gave them every opportunity to respond. Now it's my turn.!
They did everything as promised.
They did a great job very knowledgeable and professional
Solar Energy World - Maryland respond quickly.
Well if someone was to ask me about our solar panels I'd let them know that Solar Energy World was a good place to look. We had no issues with the solar removal of our old panels to the install of the new panels.
The roofing side of it was a bit chaotic due to the ill timed dumpster that left all the roofing debris in our driveway for two nights, but we as homeowners understand that there can be hiccups in the best of plans. We didn't get excited about it knowing that it would be resolved. Panels are up and running, we are happy and that's worth a five star rating. Thank you Solar Energy World.
I had two concerns that I passed on to Daniel Stone, my point of contact. There was not a clear description at the beginning of the process about the steps of the process and what would happen and when. I felt that I was driving in a rainstorm without windshield wipers. That was uncomfortable for me. There should have been an on-site visit to talk about where the equipment would be placed at the house. There was no discussion about where the equipment would be. When the crew came to install the equipment, the guy who came to supervise the crew was not conversational. He was not willing to talk about where the equipment would go. I asked Daniel about this several times and he sent me a sketch of where it may go on the house. I showed it to the installer and that is where he put it. There should have been a site visit where someone would talk to me about where the equipment would go on the house. I thought both of these issues were unacceptable. I left it a three because I think the installation was done well. Those two concerns could have made them have a better rating.
Everything..
Straight forward, knowledgeable, answered questions readily, easy to work with, accurate and timely delivery if answers to questions and service provided
I would recommend but would highly advise both the potential customer as well as SEW to do a better job of training a new client on the operation of the system as well as the Enphase inverter set up
Installation was stellar. However, when we encountered a problem several months down the road, a phone call to the service department on 12/19/2024 generated NO RESPONSE. OK, the holidays were in there, but when I didn't get a call back, I called again on 1/8/2025...and ended up with an appointment on 2/3/2025. Granted, the solar PV systems are very reliable, but one would hope that calling for service does not result in such a long delay to get a response...
Prep and install was great. Electrician left a small hole in the wall. 6 months later I am still waiting for the repair which is visible near breaker box.
I don't feel good about the company so far.
From the start of my solar installation until the end, SEW walked me through step by step. Their team coordinated the entire process from my HOA application, to acquiring county permits through the final installation. Even after installation, Larkin helped me to understand the process of selling SRECs back to the open market.
They kept their promises and delivered what they promised from the beginning.
The process took a lot longer than I thought it would, and it was very confusing and complicated.
The whole process was seamless and handled well. Solar Energy World was great.
I thought they did a very thorough and great job. The installation was well done. They were on time, friendly, checked it all out and everything was good.
Very professional.
Brent Cotton, my sales and service manager was excellent. Assuming he gets me my 500-dollar gift card he promised me, we are still working on that, it's the last step.
Solar Energy World- Maryland was very professional.
I was charged twice, they did pay one of them, and they were going to pay another. There were 2 during the time of the meter changeover. 1 one month, and 1 the following month. The power company said it whoever put in the solar system. So, I sent them the information and we paid it, because it was required. It was just 250 dollars from the whole thing, which is not a lot, but it was just a terrible start.
They stuck out from just about every other solar company I talked to, and I rated them on their level of professionalism and what they had for installation services and the installation panels on the back end, and their reviews were top-notch, and we went with them as a result of that.
Because of the install, I am not satisfied with solar energy.
Solar Energy, we are actually booking it for our new home.
From the beginning, I asked if my solar would provide enough energy to cover my bill. They came with an engineer, took measurements, and added more panels; as of now, my utility bill is $400. It's been 10 months since the solar was installed. Now they are saying I don't have enough panels. Why did they offer me this deal if they knew, in the beginning, I wouldn't have enough panels to cover my 1600 square foot house? I have panels all over my roof. For 5 months they have said I would have to wait. It's been 10 months. I just paid $400 for my electric bill and $100 for the solar. There has been no benefit. I would like the world to know it's not beneficial. They are not doing the calculation right from the beginning. I wish they had told me from the beginning that my roof is not big enough to cover the 1500 square foot, 2 bedroom house.
