We need more information about the winter prices from Solar Energy World- Maryland. Our electric bill was $210.00. We do not use a lot of electricity, so I do not understand why the electric bill is so high after installing solar panels.

Solar panels provide many benefits.

They did everything they promised. They were timely, efficient, and came in and got the job. We are fully satisfied.

Generally, I would give a 5 star rating. However, since 12/22, our solar production is down by 1/3 due to 10 of our Solar panels not producing. I've opened up a support ticket. I'm very disappointed that the soonest someone can come out is 1/22. We been operational for around 60 days or less. I would expect to get installation issue support sooner than 30 days. I would be open to update this rating once all issues are resolved.

Highly responsive, professional, and courteous team all through the engagement. The technicians were very knowledgeable and very thorough in their work.

Overall SEW has made the process quite easy by taking care of all the paper work and it has one of the best warranty policies (30 years). Once the panels are in, there are many different elements to be aware of, and that's where as the customer you need to ask for clarification.

Array was installed over the course of days when it was pouring rain (rather than rescheduling when weather was favorable) potentially compromising the long term durability of the installation and potentially leading to leaks in our roof.

Solar Energy World did a great job with our solar installation. We were a little wary that they were too busy to carefully consider our old home's odd roof and some of our related concerns, but they heard our preferences and followed through with a careful design that worked for us. The installation went smoothly. We would gladly work with them again on a solar project.

The solar panels were installed in my home almost a month ago. They are not working yet. I called my electric company. They are waiting for Solar to call to report the panels. They were not included in the blue print. My electric company is not connecting before they hear from Solar Energy. They are taking a long time.

They were great and did a good job. Their coordination and installation went well.

Damien was a good salesman worked with me and kept me informed and everything that was happening. The crew very respectful hard workers and cleaned up after themselves. When they were here installing the panels they answered any questions I had.

I was very impressed with their punctuality, professionalism and that each crew member introduced themselves and addressed me with respect.

Great company. Responds to inquiries within 24 hours, usually within the hour even after hours. Worked with my homeowners association to get approval quickly. Handled all county permits. From the initial assessments to install was done professionally in a very timely manner.

Communication was sorely lacking. I was initiating the calls to find out where we were in the process. When the installers finally started there was not anybody telling me what was happening. 1 day they sat in my driveway from 8:30-1:45 waiting for the roof to dry while it was raining out. They should have just told me they couldn’t work because of the rain and gone home. Instead they sat here all day doing nothing. I was extremely aggravated. I was going out hourly to get updates. When they finally left they said they would be back on Saturday at the same time: 8:30. Again no one told me they were stuck in another job and wouldn’t be here until afternoon. I was a lunatic by the time they showed up at 2:00. I was unable to get in touch with anyone despite numerous phone calls and texts and emails. 8 months to get solar panels seems ridiculous. I’m glad I have them but the entire process was extremely frustrating. Even The communication between the installers was lacking: the placed the box above my gas meter and then had to move it to the front of my house. I would never have approved of that being placed there. All in all I’m glad the whole process is done but I’m not sure I would want anyone else to go though what I went through. I don’t know how they would have done the install if I was working. Because if I took days off from work and they sat in my driveway or were no shows I would have canceled everything. A simple phone call doesn’t take a lot of time and would have made this process much more enjoyable

I wrote about my experience with Solar Energy World to my neighbors, and on the whole I'm extremely impressed and hopeful that maybe a fence-sitter will move forward with their own project! I especially appreciated that your analysts were thorough in answering my detailed questions, without rushing through the different payment milestones until my concerns were satisfied.

This is actually the second time I’ve had Solar Energy World install solar for us, after a move. Sadly our second experience didn’t live up to the first. The installation team again did a great and professional job, but the level of communication and support throughout the process was distinctly less the second time around. So I still recommend people to go solar, and I think Solar Energy World will do a good job with the installation, but given how lengthy, complicated, and expensive the process is, I hesitate to recommend their total customer service.

SEW did a great job of analyzing our energy situation and installing, the panels. They were excellent at communicating the process and getting us signed up for our SRECs and rebates. They went above and beyond in adjusting/fixing problems with the EVcharger we installed with our PV array.

Eric & his team were by far the most knowledgeable between the 4 companies I received quotes from. Highly recommend.

While there were a couple of hiccups along the way, Daren and the other staff at Solar Energy World were able to resolve these issues quickly and professionally.

It was troublesome in the beginning to get it installed, but once it was installed I was under the impression that BG&E would buy back the energy, which hasn't happened yet. So the company called on the buyback, but I am not clear on how to get that done.

The biggest selling point is that it's an integrated company: the sales people, engineers, roofers, electricians, permit people, and schedulers all work for Solar Energy World. There is no outsourcing to complicate matters.

There are a lot of solar companies and sales people competing for residential solar businesses. I went with Solar Energy World on the recommendation of a trusted friend, am glad I did, and have since recommended them to others. In particular I recommend out Solar Analyst, Paul Antoshak, who was extremely responsive throughout the process.

The system is not performing as the salesperson detected.
