I am/have recommended Starlight Homes to many friends and acquaintances. My experience has been so smooth, pleasant, educational and supportive. I have delayed my home buying process for so long in the past because I had not found one that embodied all of those qualities as well as making me feel valued as a human and as a customer, until I cam across Starlight. They do have wonderful sales representatives who answered all the questions, were helpful, were thorough and knew what Starlight had to offer.

My experience with the home being experience with Starlight was overall good. My sales agent Shantia was sweet and kept me informed during the building process. The incentives that were offered were really good and assisted in me being able to purchase my home. Trent was great during my walk throughs and has continued to be great even after closing and moving in. There were issues flagged during my pre walk that were not taken care of by his team by my final walk through. However, he made sure to work on these issues while I was at my closing to ensure the home was ready for me after I had my keys in hand. He is very responsive to any questions/issues and works to make sure you are satisfied with your home purchase! I will honestly say Trent's hands on approach is what would make me recommend this community to anyone looking to purchase. The one negative is the preferred lender that Starlight uses.

We love our new home and have been very happy with it. There were a surprising amount of features that starlight didn't include in the home like a garage door opener, kitchen/bathroom handles & knobs, etc., but that wouldn't deter me from saying we got a great house at a great price.

My home has been broken into, I have had strangers enter my home who worked for the property after it's been occupied, a homeless woman deprecated on my lawn yesterday..people have been nice and service has been good but hard to recommend.
The master bathroom only has one sink space. It can be inconvenient. We also need another electrical outlet where the other sink should be.

Overall good purchasing experience. Good customer service throughout the purchasing process. The building material could have been better quality as it can be easily damaged.

Absolutely! I have purchased now 3 houses and this by far was the best experience. Carol was incredible from start to finish and she represents Starlight as a seasoned professional. I gained a friend as well as a salesperson. With her setting the stage, everyone else who followed was just as great but she is my favorite ❤️

1. During the Pre Contracting Period we were pressured to submit Earnest Money prior to having even signed the contract constantly 2-3 times a day..it was ridiculous .
2. The Contract did not clearly outline loan contingencies for Conventional Loans in the case that the home didn't appraise at the selling price. I had to escalate the issue ...my request was for the contract to be amended to ensure this language was clear ; however Starlight refused to amend or come up with a solution . I came up with the solution to get the language approved via email and it stated as follows : Per our conversation, in the contract pertaining to the appraisal verbiage conventional loans have the same verbiage as FHA. and then have the Sales Manager to approve. Starlight did not facilitate this process in fact , they held the contract approval up by a week because they wouldn't clarify.
3. The Agent Brianna was very inexperienced and constantly put the cart before the horse i.e. requesting earnest money before a contract was signed. Sent over a blank contract for me to sign , did very limited follow up when it came to the issues we found during orientation.
4. The Builder tried to turn over the home with a large crack in the back concrete patio . His rationale was that over time it will crack anyway. I had be firm and not move forward with the purchase if they would not fix. I caused me a lot of stress. I explained it is a New Construction ...would you buy a brand new car with a ding in it ???
5. I didn't like that my final walk through was scheduled a hour and same day as my closing ...again another pressure tactic...keep in mind if the items were not repaired as required I was prepared to kill the entire deal.
6. In the contract it clearly states that the buyer can be penalized for holding up any parts of the process by keeping the earnest money, yet there were no penalties for the Builder in holding up the process..and the hold up were due to things within their control.
If I could I would have my whole family in the neighborhood.
This is the first time purchasing a new build , there were details in the building process that I needed assistance with post purchase . The builder rep assigned to my property went above and beyond to make sure all questions was answered and details was taken care of . This made me really feel comfortable in my decision to purchase a new build , I didn’t feel like was left alone to figure it out sort to say !
