Starlight Homes could be more competitive with repeat buyers.

I did some research on Starlight as a builder and found the reviews to be overall positive about the quality of the homes. My biggest complaint is the quality of the workmanship in building the homes.

The experience was not great, but not completely bad. There were promises made by the service desk, but they haven't reached back out after I have been calling them.

I like that they made it affordable for first time home buyers. I wish they could have made some adjustments in building the home such as a linen closet to put your sheets and towels in. I never lived in a house that didn’t have a linen closet or didn’t have some kind of window in the front of the house. I know builders try to cut corners so I’m sure your wife’s etc would have loved to have windows and a linen closet in a new home just saying.

Starlight Homes Dallas was professional from start to finish.

I want to say, I was a little uncomfortable with two things which is why I chose 4-star. The gutters and the fuse box outside the house, I would have preferred to have that differently. I wanted to have gutters; I didn't expect the home to come without the gutters. I found out everything when the house was completed. The fuse box allows people to mess with it, I know it has a lock, but you have to remember where the keys are. It would have been easier to have inside the garage.

This is my first home purchase and starlight made it as seamless as possible. I was nervous about the process because of the unknown, but my salesman walked me through the process and always communicated with me.

While I'm generally satisfied with my Starlight (a wonderful company) home. My experience with the sales, mortgage process and exterior quality of work is mixed. I learned some valuable lessons about how pricing presented to me as a customer and fair value of the house.

Lots of unresolved issues . Warranty people keeps telling us that we need to contact the manager . Manager keeps directing us to warranty company… no one is helping …

The homes with Starlight Homes are fine but my experience was not what I would expect when I am paying 300 plus thousand dollars.

I knew these were affordable homes but the quality of the build isn’t great and the lack of sound isolation is terrible..walking around upstairs can be heard worse than an apartment. Paint on the walls is chalky and you can’t bump it without scratching it…350k can’t get me a quality paint job??? I’m in one of the more expensive homes, and in Texas l, yet you can’t give us a patio cover with the build either. I knew this going on but never understood it.

I'm really enjoying and grateful for the incentives I received during my purchase. The full appliance package was great, the interest rate, and not having a PID or MUD tax was so appealing. I love the extra space between houses, the covered patio and large kitchen island. I really like the size of the bathroom and walk-in closet. I love the LUNA layout.

I have had very good experience with some other builders for last 16 years but Starlight Homes quality of workmanship and what is given against the amount spent on the homes is not reasonable.

If someone is willing to pay $300,000.00 for a house, they deserve a little more amenities, like remote controls for the garage doors. That should be essential. That made me a little annoyed. It didn't come with garage door openers. Why not add those things, even if it's more? It is not hard to do that. I think people like to see that it comes with a remote control for the garage door opener. I can't even open the garage door. How do you show a house if you can't open the garage door?

This house is amazing and lovely. Perfect starter house or a house for anyone looking for a quiet place to live.

Okay, to start this is my first home purchase. There are some very distinct issues that have now been addressed, but not fixed. I think overall the quality of the home is nicer than some of the other new builds, however, the yard not so much. I know this may fall on a contractor, but it also falls on Starlight for not ensuring that the contractor held up to their end. The amount of rocks, and lumps and lack of proper drainage in the yard have made this experience go from being very exciting to more of slight back to back headaches. The backyard entirely is uneven, there are gaps in where they laid sod, and there are some areas where I can stick my entire foot in a lump and my ankle is even with the grass. Overall, IF/WHEN they get this all fixed as agreed upon with our very attentive construction manager Joshua, I would be happy to submit another review singing a more positive experience. The inside of the home is up to par, outside of some poor workmanship on the painters part, I am happy. But there is more to a home than just the inside.. I hope that, as promised, a drain will be put in place on the side as promised, as well as getting everything leveled out in the back. If this is done, this 3 star immediately goes up to a 5. Thank you again to Joshua and Dave for making sure I was taken care of. They are the reason I went through signing when I did and did not wait. They ensured this would get fixed, they just needed a little time. Its been almost 2 months, they are making some progress, but I will give it another month or so. Give me another review when we finish up fixing everything and you will see a big change.

I’ve already been telling people about Starlight homes and how easy they made the process. I love my new home and can not wait to make new memories in it!

I would recommend people buy from a more premium builder if they can afford it

They were very professional. I bought my house three months ago and we are not having any issues but when I did I call about something, everything is timely and professional. Really clean and cut, easy process, not too complicated. Ms.Veronica, the mortgage lender made everything so easy and we appreciate her and Mr.Leon was great too, very professional and made my job very easy.

The materials are not very good quality. I've been dealing with humidity in the home and had to purchase a dehumidifier. Now there's a leak in my bathroom from the shower that has covered the floor.
