The in home sales agent (Lois Smith) said that I would end up having a brand new 32 inch door leading into my bathroom instead of the 28 inch door I now have. My wife has to use a walker to get around even in the house. Her wheeled walker she uses is 30 inches wide. Based on that information the high price ($28,000) is one of the main reasons I agreed to the contract. Also the fact that people buy walk-in tubs is due to unstable walking after the tub was installed we learned that the bottom of the tub is very slick after the water is drained and my wife is having problems getting out of the tub on her own.
