By far one of the best home project experiences we have had. This team is dedicated, on time, careful , respectful and just absolutely amazing at their work. They know what is needed and how to do it. They don’t cut corners and their expertise and skill shine through every bit of the home. Their work is beautiful and their approachability, willingness to listen, and adaptability to our needs made this experience a good one. Us living in the home made this more challenging for them, but they worked with care around a chronically ill spouse and the companion cats who needed to be at home. We are thrilled with the results and proud to have Stearns as a part of our story.

The job ended up being more work than anticipated and we appreciated that the guys were flexible and helpful in making decisions. Overall the work quality was good.

Stearns did an excellent job, and our kitchen turned out better than I could have dreamed. We had been overwhelmed by all the potential choices before we engaged Stearns, and we found their design services to be hugely helpful. I was especially impressed by their professionalism. They told us exactly what everything would cost and when things would be done, and they stuck to those promises. They kept us updated every day on what was going on and when to expect workers. A day rarely passed when progress wasn't made on the project. They were absolute sticklers on quality and at times made their subcontractors come back and redo things they weren't satisfied with. A great experience.

Remodel is never fun, but Stearns was able to make it tolerable when the unexpected happened and not drag the job out. The people I came in contact with were very nice and did a good job.

The young men they employ are terrific. My complaint was the time line -- I understand some of the situations were unexpected. The communication sagged as time went on. Did not like the e-mail communication when asking and answering questions. The expected time & work to be done was fine by e-mail. I preferred texts for questions and answers. The work done was as expected. Very nice job. I am happy with the results.

Schedule - There were a number of unexpected delays due to things outside Stearns control.

I was most satisfied with the quality of the work, from the design phase throughout the construction phase. I was equally pleased with their efforts to keep dirt and dust to a minimum and their protection of our existing flooring during the project.

Stearns Design Build is focused on providing a quality product. I was ultimately happy with the end product but it required much more oversight than I would have expected from such a highly regarded outfit. My experience was not as positive as I would have liked due to communication and management of expectations related issues.

All members of the Stearns team worked closely with us throughout the designing and construction phases to insure our complete satisfaction with the finished product.

After looking and speaking to several remodeling companies around the Bryan-College Station area, we chose Design Stearns Build initially due to their quick, professional response to our questions. When we met with a representative to discuss the job, he explained the entire remodel process and then when he advised we woud have a project manager over seeing the entire rebuild, that sealed our decision. Throughout the entire remodel, there was frequent communication as to what to expect, if decisions had to be made,etc. We are thrilled with the completed job--it turned out even better than we had imagined and everything was done within the agreed upon budget!

I wouldn't go anywhere else for our remodel projects. Everyone at Stearns Design Build is professional, have outstanding customer service skills and deliver high quality remodel projects that exceed my expectations.

I had options to do some work myself with guidance and expertise as needed. Employees were courteous and helpful. Also, regular reviews and options were discussed to avoid over budget.

We were pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism. The installation crew and the builder who owns the company were good. The finished product is attractive and it much improved the use of the room that they worked on. It's being re-decorated so that the room will become the focal point. We are very pleased.

We choose Stearns because they gave us the most comprehensive information. They were also the highest bid—but not because they had inflated prices, rather because they were intent on doing the job right. Other contractors wanted to slap siding on top of what was already there. We knew that was not the best way to or correct way to do the job. And they presented opportunities to go green. We never felt as though they were trying to push any products or upscale the job for profit. They just provided us with all available alternatives and let us choose what works best for us.They also kept us informed throughout the entire process. We knew when to expect them to be working. If they encountered other unforeseen problems along the way, they kept us informed and we discussed the best solution for our needs. We had pets that had to be relocated to areas of the house where they were not working. Each day they let us know what to expect. We had garden beds with plants that could not easily be relocated. They worked carefully to ensure the plants were preserved.Most impressive was how clean they kept the work area. Any materials they used were kept together and they never left any trash around our house. Everyone we talked with was polite, responsive, courteous and respectful.
