They did a good job and cleaned up well. There was a lady that worked with the crew that made sure everything was cleaned up. I could not get up there and look, but I took pictures. We have had rain and storms, and everything works well.

Storm Guard did a great job installing my roof, however their communication is horrible especially through five months of delays.

Fast and professional, done in well under a day, and afterwards I found one small corner of a shingle, a bit of a wrapper, and a single nail on the property. For a complete roof tear-off and reshingling done that fast, it was pretty impressive how little there was left behind.

Storm Guard Restoration staff was extremely professional. The quality of the work was exceptional. They did my entire 44 square job in 95-degree heat, in one day. I have a small backyard with a pool and they went out of their way to keep the pool covered and Ricky and his crew spend an extra 30 mins to rerun the magnets across my property and my neighbors property to make sure no nails were left behind. The quote that I received from Stormgurd was 20% less than the other 3 quotes I received and it included the lifetime platinum Owens Corning warranty that was not included by their competitors.

Before we got our roof put on, I went down the street to look at two roofs that Storm Guard Restoration was doing. I spoke with one of the homeowners who commented that they liked the fact that the owner of Storm Guard Restoration, Nicole stayed on-site 90% of the time. That is when I chose to go with Storm Guard Restoration.

I believe they went above and beyond expectations by coordinating and submitting required paperwork to my insurance company which was a significant help to me. Dan Peek of StormGuard was very professional even though he was plagued by labor shortages following Hurricanes Harvey and then Maria. Good crews were obviously very hard to find. Those labor problems were the only reasons I gave less than top grades - and they were not the fault of StormGuard or Dan Peek. As the work went on, Dan was on the job for us, making sure the process went properly. StormGuard inspectors required that our satellite dish be installed under our eave, in contrast to most of the other re-roofers around us. I think this was a good step and should result in better shingle and roof integrity over the years to come. Cleanup was thorough. We have had more debris blown into our yard by junk other contractors in the weeks that have followed.

From the get go, i was not impressed with the presentation and proposal aspect of the project. Too many hiccups and inconsistencies once the ball was rolling forward to addressing the contract and financial terms of the deal. Initially, the contractor (Dan Peak) had an adjuster come through to assess any damage that could have been claimed on our insurance. After the evaluation was done, the adjuster found that there was not enough substantial "damage" to be claimed. Dan kept reassuringly suggesting that he had a "connection" in the insurance business and that all would be well. The cost of the project was to only be the difference of the deductible. Well, as it turns out, and what I already knew beforehand and expected, the entire cost of the build was to come out of pocket. Then there was the issue of financing through a company the Dan had just started using instead of his normal one. After that horrible first two attempts with the first company, he decided it was just in our best interests to get financed through the company he primarily uses for his contracts. Now with this company, which was Green Sky, the duration of the conference call was full of "uhh's" "umm's" and "wells" along with general confusion jumbled together by Dan as if he had never started a contract with these people. Application approval and terms of X amount of dollars for seven years was to be determined with the outcome of the call. Seven years @X amount of dollars, this was the agreement. This was met with shocking results as we received our paperwork of the contractual agreement literally the day before construction. What we were told on the phone and that was to be paid, and what they expected was over $100 more per month. Definitely not what was agreed upon. Dan said he would correct the problem and get things back to where they need to be. Now communication from him at this point was sparse and non-informative. Once he "fixed" the general issue with above mentioned financial institution, it turned out that what was a seven year contract, turned into a ten year contract with no other input put from Dan other than the financing problem was "fixed". Still not satisfied with that, but what can I do. What's done is done.
