I had the company out for three projects. I ordered windows for two projects on the same day. The larger project got its windows within 2 months and did not get notification they started making the windows for an additional 2 months for the smaller project (more money quicker timeline I guess).
First installer put the wrong windows
I am likely to recommend Studio41 Home Design Showroom to a friend because they are very attentive.
I have replaced two homes of windows with ClimateGuard.
I have no qualms about the quality of windows at this point in time, though it's only been a week since the installation. It's hard to give full feedback when there hasn't been enough time to test them and see how they stand up to all climates and weather types. But the communication was really good, the price was decent, I never felt pressured and was allowed to come to my decision on my own terms, and all that stands out in my mind for being a good company, and based on that, I'd absolutely recommend Climate Guard for windows.
Dmytro and his fellow teammate were very efficient and did a fantastic job in installing new windows. Very professional, clean and overall an outstanding work. And kudos to Daniel Minguez in working patiently with me from start to finish.
I have already recommended a neighbor, however there's a glitch with the job.I asked for tinted windows ,only got a glazed job not knowing or understanding what their definition of tint means as opposed to what I understand.Right now I am waiting for a response from the salesperson and his supervisor as to what can be done.
Can not in good conscience recommend Climate Guard. I was doing windows for two adjacent apartments. The goal was to use one contractor, not two as it turned out.
Windows recently installed. Look nice and are functional but time will tell. Employees were pleasant and the contractor took great effort to be tidy and prevent dust.
HOWEVER - The overall process was error-riddled and very frustrating. It seems some of their employees and subcontractors don't understand their own internal policies, don't read their contracts, and are unable to take independent action without multiple approvals along the way. For example:
(1). Climate Guard said they could do a window project in my bathroom. Then, AFTER they received my deposit and the contract was signed, they said they couldn't do the project. So, long story short, I ended up having to use two different contractors.
(2) Climate Guard mismeasured twice. They would realize a week after the fact each time. This delayed the ordering process.
(3) I needed to provide documentation re: certificate of insurance and business license to my building association for approval. Our board meets every other month. I asked for it in April multiple times. Then, in JUNE, two days before supposed installation, I'm still scrambling to get the documentation. I had to request this from multiple individuals' multiple times and was told only one person could do it and she was working from home and hopefully she would see her email since they wouldn't give me her phone number. If it wasn't approved, I'd need to wait another two months. I received the material 4 hours before our board meeting. One Climate Guard employee was very resistant about providing a copy of the business license saying, " no one ever asks for this". There was no sense of urgency.
4) Contract included a provision for Climate Guard to remove and dispose of an old very large window AC unit. Contractor removed it but dumped it in the kitchen and expected me to take it down four flights. I'm 65 and cannot do that - that's why it was included as part of the contract. Contractor argued with me. I refused to pay the balance until the contractor took it down the stairs. THEN he dumped it behind our building along the alley by our fence saying, " a metal scrapper will eventually pick it up". I told him that was unacceptable because the contract called for them to dispose of all the trash. Also, I would have been fined $300 for leaving the trash there.
We had 16 windows and 2 patio doors installed in 2022. This time we replaced the dining room windows, 2024.
good product, excellent installation
Terrible follow through
Their high-quality aluminum windows are what I required, and they were able to make windows specifically for the openings. A number of other window dealers won't do that.
The company did what they said they would do.
We've already referred our neighbor
The finished product looks great. Eleven windows replaced in a day and a half.
The crew was excellent.
I have already spoken to some residents in the building. If they need info about CG I will be happy to offer
Good company good people excellent job done.
ClimateGuard Windows & Doors was very professional. They cleaned up everything. They were very informative in regard to my questions.
ClimateGuard was great to work with. They had exactly what I was looking for, something that many others shied away from.
The project was spectacular from start to finish. I highly recommend the installer and sales rep.
We used them in the past and so far I have never had a problem with them.
The quality is the best for what you pay. I am happy with the way they look.
I have contacted ClimateGuard in regards to an issue with cold air after installation. Two service people came to my house unannounced a couple days after I called, spent ten minutes my home only to tell me they don't see any gaps. I'll update this once it is resolved.
They were very professional and did a clean installation.
We have worked with them for all of our properties. They changed all of our windows. We trust them!
