We have already recommended Talmadge Construction to other friends. We love our new kitchen and it is getting rave reviews from our guests.

The experience went as smoothly as can be reasonably expected. The caveat is that they seem to be more expensive than others.

Our experience with Talmadge was incredibly mixed. While there were moments of strong positives, the overall construction experience was quite poor. The final outcome was overall mostly acceptable, though the journey to get there was not a recommendable experience.

Positives:
- Design team - incredible to work with, great expertise, made the selection process a joy
- Timeline and budget - the majority of construction was completed on time, and within budget
- Tile and cabinets - fantastic work here, real expertise was shown
- Final resolution on below negative issues was handled with class

Negatives:
- Product manager failed to deliver on multiple promises regarding site protection, timelines, finish quality, cleaning, and more
- Product manager had a general lack of effective communication and problem solving skills
- Production team unaware of construction process, reliant on project manager
- In discussions on build choices, product manager withheld information on ability to warranty work until explicitly asked
- General construction skill was lacking on basic installation of some components
- General acceptance of quality was significantly different from our expectations
- Site protection was absent on newly installed floors causing dents and nicks after construction machinery were stored on them
- Site protection absent on paint prep causing house-wide paint dust after project was 99% complete; resulting in a last minute hotel stay
- Painting subs broke into an occupied bedroom to gain access to the house instead of using the front door keypad
- Paint finish quality required over 5 re-visits for owner noticed touchups after product manager had given final quality OK
- Wall insulation was stored outside in the rain before installation
- Post construction cleaning was not construction grade - had to scrub out paint overspray from floors personally
- Flooring subs dumped waste into landscaping

Talmadge Construction was very professional. We had our entire house remodeled and every day when the installers left they made sure to clean up their work area. We never walked into a mess or had to step over drywall or nails. They did a great job, and we are very pleased with the outcome.

I would highly recommend the Talmadge Team to anyone with a small or big remodel project. They are creative and consummate professionals in meeting any of your needs. They did my son's nursery addition and an outdoor awning for my patio equipped with heaters and a fan and I did not need to worry about any aesthetic or technical challenges.

They were incredibly professional, dedicated to getting the job done without cutting corners, reliable, and did an excellent job! They always followed up, actively solved problems with our input, and worked to improve any situation that wasn't going well. We highly recommend Talmadge Construction!

Talmadge was great to work with when we were scrambling to complete initial pre move-in renovations. Worked extremely quickly (and brought subcontractors along at that pace) so we could move in and minimize upheaval. Have a great designer on staff who really takes ownership of her designs and is willing to shift/modify quickly to meet customer needs. Too early into this big renovation to provide full feedback on project.

Talmadge is an exceptional company no matter how big or small your project is. Their team including Russ and Quinn are solid professionals who know what they are doing and will strive to make sure your project gets done in a timely manner and within budget. For the time they worked on our project they were like family. They treated our home like it was their own. I would not hesitate to recommend them. They are the best.
