The actual work was done great, but the design and contract process were horrible. We were brought in with one price and then it more than doubled. We did not feel understood during the design and contract process.

I did my research for some time before committing to the contract. I spoke with several past clients in various stages of their own reno and felt they were a great choice. I have completed a project with Dave Fox in a previous home and this experience from The Cleary Company was much better overall. I felt everyone so engaged in my project while I know it is a small one compared to others! Cleary did a great job remodeling our bathroom, which led to us hiring them to rehabbing our inground concrete pool. But that did not go well. Cleary represented that they were qualified and experienced in pool rehab, but the concrete subcontractor (Kalusha) they put on the job had little or no experience with pools. They seriously screwed up the gunite liner and the stamped and dyed concrete patio. Cleary tried to fix the dye job on the patio with limited success, but the gunite liner could not be fixed and they settled with us for a refund of that part of the work minus materials. The liner looks really bad, uneven, not a uniform color, and not finished well around the pool lighting leaving gaps. Other subs did fine. But I question Cleary's judgment about what kind of jobs they can take on and do a professional job,

I like the people we worked with, and I love my new bathroom.

It was an outstanding, thorough process from start to finish. They did quality work and had great communication.

On most days we had one person working the project for 3-5 hours. The project took longer than expected, but the quality of work is excellent.

Don was the lead on the project and Kuba was "in training'. Don obviously trained him very well. Their commitment to detail was greatly appreciated. I would have them do work for me anytime.

Schedule - We had several unforeseen and extensive issues pop up in our hundred-year old house. This only slightly delayed our project, by just a couple weeks. We were pleasantly surprised that the timeline didn't change as much as we assumed that it would, considering the scope of the extra work.

Communication - We always knew what was going on. Our project developer and project manager had meetings with us often to keep us updated- we were never in the dark about anything.

Trust - We absolutely trust The Cleary Company with any remodeling project. The work we had done is exceptional.

As a higher end and full service company, Cleary's pricing is higher than some alternatives. That might dissuade some friends from using Cleary because of their own financial limitations but I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for."
