The overall quality and team can't be beat.

They provided nice designs and were helped with remediating problems

Selection and oversight of their vendors is sub-par. Quality control is poor, correction of problems identified takes months. 1 year after closing we are still waiting for repairs to be completed. They run hot and cold when it comes to follow-through. Are they worse than other builders? Probably not, but they have not proven to be better.

Had many issues to go into! But some started when we originally agreed on the unit we selected! We were told that we max the size we could build after months we found out we actually had another 5’ on the rear,? We wanted to make the extra screen porch bigger and we’re told we couldn’t?? Actually we could of went back 5’ more! Which we would of done! Another real problem was that most of the contractors were Subs! Some worked sunup to sunset 7 days a week! The managers of McKee I guess let these Subs work with no supervision while the subs worked those late nights & weekends ?? I had some very serious issues happen because of this, with serious damage to equipment which had to be replaced! I hired a outside company to go over everything & many things had to be fixed orreplaced! Even Mold ! Replaced Concrete driveway because not installed correctly! There on site 2 guys were very friendly & did their best but they had a full plate! With others! Being a track type of home I did very much like that they were willing to make & add many upgrades & changes! Saying that they because we added so many changes & upgrades we feel that they were not fair on any credits!! So many things that was included that they didn’t have to do labor and materials!! Absolutely no credit back ! I guess enough said!

All problems handled promptly, courteously, and very satisfactorily.

Overall I would recommend McKee because of the sales team, the project manager and quality of materials used.

Our home was one of the last 6 built of a total of 273. Some of the same warranty issues were made with our home as were with the first 267. You would think after 267 the builder would have learned how not to have those issues

My biggest sore point was that after deciding to ad a porch wee asked for a change to a sun room instead of the porch. We were past the deadline for making a change and our request was denied. However, no construction was started for many months afterward. They could have done the change in my opinion.

We were well informed each step of the building process. The sales center staff were wonderful as were the design center personnel. There were many home styles to choose from and they were all great choices!

I like the community concept overall, but lack of timely warranty work makes McKee look like they do not stand behind their product and have no regard for customer satisfaction.

The homes are fine, stop pushing the “preferred mortgage lender” thing.

My house is perfect! The McKee staff was so wonderful in helping me settle on my house. The house was in perfect condition when I took possession. The neighborhood pool is fantastic!

We liked that with McKee, we were able in fairly short order to get to the price of our new construction, including our design choices. The transparency was highly appreciated.

Quality of building materials and finish work is excellent

I have no complaints and had no issues whatsoever with The McKee Group. They were great about answering my calls and were always there when I needed them.

Design modification accommodation was outstanding. McKee modified the construction to all our requested changes.

The McKee home designs and communities are superior to others in the area. The McKee management had stated several times that their goal was to make their customers happy. At the time of the closing, McKee strived and had done just that. Rare in today's world.

Overall very happy with the experience and we are very happy in our new beach home.

All in all, the Mckee homes are well built. My wife and I are very satisfied with the home we purchased. Everything isn't 100 percent what we want, but they have done their best to address minor issues and cosmetic issues. We are very satisfied with our home and the development they have made. Also, it's an ideal location for the two communities, and we are able to access the beach because it's not too far.

McKee builds an excellent product and their costumer service and warranty are excellent.

I basically love my new home, but wish the builder would have been a little more responsive, maybe even a bit more honest about the building
behind us. there's no way they didn't know that Rauch Farm was at the very least a possibility.

Although Kelli at the office and Robert Cardwell on site here try their best as far as customer service, the quality of the build is not what we had hoped for. Additionally, the extra charges for things like $75 per drawer in a bathroom vanity or shelves to put your shampoo, etc. in the shower seem odd to me. I’ve never purchased a new build so maybe some think this is normal. The community is great but the workmanship is not. The other issue is our lawns. It feels more like a Tonka truck track with all the bumps and grooves in the lawn. It’s not safe for older people to walk on as the risk of them falling is high with the uneven surface.

I would certainly express caution.

I am very pleased with the construction of my house. McKee allowed me to make the changes that I wanted to customize my home.

We had been searching for a 55+ for 2 years on the West Coast and South as well as Delaware and found PMC to be a surprising compromise. Our first impression of the other residents and the quality of the clubhouse helped seal our decision. Our first year here has been virtually flawless with any concerns.

Everyone I worked with from the McKee group was friendly and knowledgeable.

I would advise buyers to be cautious if they lived a long distance away. We’ve experienced issues where they may have been avoided if buyers were closer to the venue.

This is a family owned business that has found a way to combine very organized systems that work well to produce lovely homes. There is a schedule and it is followed.

Upgraded entire kitchen including built in bar; cabinetry for normal every dishware is narrow and barely accommodates dinner plates, there are 2 drawers under the stove and sink which are not drawers at all- the renderings appeared to be drawers and they are not usable for utensils, sponges etc and need to modified asap for functionality, the master bathroom is extremely small and in the toilet room, there is barely enough room to accommodate a waste basket unless it is placed at a conspicuous area, the BAR which was custom and very pricey is UNUSABLE, the cabinetry shelves are NOT adjustable (husband an Engineer) and we cannot even place our liquor in there! The spice racks are flimsy and need to be repaired ASAP as they look they will break easily- suspect there will be more as we settle in- this is day 7.

So far our home has been well thought out and McKee produced a quality product

Beautiful homes at Friendship Creek. It's a small community and the neighbors are so friendly. Also, the pool is wonderful.

McKee's staff is its best asset. If possible, I would have given this rating 4.5 stars because some of McKee's subcontractors were a step (or two or three) down from the quality of McKee's personnel. Also, the value of the house is commendable compared to some of McKee's competitors.

Upon signing a contingency agreement promising to sell my home, I was left homeless after waiting and anticipating 9 months past the promised delivery date. I am unimpressed and greatly disenchanted with the McGee Group.

I have been very disappointed with the service after we moved in. It has been very hard to communicate with The McKee Group, and they have not responded to multiple attempts.

I'm not please with the length of time it took to build my home. They kept giving me a time frame that they were unable to uphold. It took almost 2 years to complete my home from start to finish.

I am likely to recommend the McKee Group because overall we are very satisfied with the ability to customize. They are responsive to warranty issues, and the overall quality of the build itself is quite good.

This will never happen, if anything, I might suggest that they consider looking at other communities first, before making a decision to purchase a McKee property. The quality of workmanship was very poor--seem to be hurried, as if had to be done by a deadline but not enough time given or not enough workers to meet a deadline. Paying half a million dollars or more for a home deserves better attention to quality of workmanship and caring than what was provided.
