Tilson built a very nice home for us. Exactly what we wanted and expected.

Michelle was incredible and was able to create the layout we wanted on the interior to a T! She completely rearranged the floor plan to reflect our vision. Mikaela was such an asset on the design choices! She guided us through for the esthetic we wanted while taking our budget into consideration. Ruth was on top of our timeline pre construction. She ensured we had all of our permits completed and utilities squared away.

I am satisfied with my home, but there are certainly things that the tradesmen need to improve about their work. Especially the trim tradesmen.

I was pleased from start to finish. I appreciated the sales configuration online. Made my decision much easier and faster.

The office was very responsive to all of my needs.

The most excellent part of our experience building our custom home was when construction started. Our builder, Brandon, went above and beyond all expectations. He is top notch and couldn’t have done any better. Superior young man.

Communication - Our communications with Brandon Muzny have been nothing less than fantastic during the build phase of this project. He has been at the house routinely and has given up updates on the construction in progress as well as a loose schedule for steps about to happen. No surprises here, just great work and planning, thanks!

We love how wonderful Tilson has been. Hunter (our sub) is amazing. He’s incredibly detail oriented and has a fixed mindset. He’s simply amazing!

Hayden has been amazing. Though all struggles he has gone above and beyond to assist us.

Great experience! Kaitlyn and Zach were the best to work with from the beginning to the very end! Love our beautiful new home!

We actually have already referred a friend. They are in the process of making an appointment with Hayden Hersey. He was amazing to work with and we told them to try to get him as well.

Additional Comments - Overall, it was a very positive experience. We worked with Katlyn Robicheaux on the sales side and Katlyn Robicheaux on the construction. They both were great! I have no complaints. I work for a builder as well. I have been pleasantly surprised with the experiences. Things were seamless. There was nothing I would have done differently.

Communication in the beginning was rough. Getting permitting took far too long. The people in those positions should know the county requirements.

Additional Comments - Hayden Hersey and the entire San Marcos team is fantastic! We really enjoyed our entire design process and looked forward to each time we came into the office to move things forward. Most of the time we brought our baby daughter, who crawled around (then walked!) and was welcomed by the entire team. Hayden was very patient, helpful, and responsive during the entire design process.

Additional Comments - We're fine and satisfied with the home. It is a beautiful home. I appreciate everything Tilson Homes did to make sure everything was up to par.

They are very responsive, but there were some hiccups with contractors. Beyond the hiccups, I was satisfied.

Areas Of Satisfaction - They exceeded my expectations with the exterior paint details, with the trim and shutters, and the posts for the front and back porches. They also exceeded my expectations with the windows and roof.

Communication - Our case was a difficult one.The entire team was beyond amazing to us. Katlyn and David helped us so much they were supportive, understanding and professional.

Tilson touts themselves on being a custom builder. They are not a custom builder. They forced me to accept the cheapest building materials money can buy. I am very upset that I was lied to through the entire process, either by omission or just blatantly to my face. They offer extremely limited options on almost every aspect of the build and if I want something else, they charge me 60% of the their price for the items. This makes it cost prohibitive to get what I want and I’m literally forced to use their subpar building materials.

Areas Of Satisfaction - Getting our floor plan the way that we wanted it exceeded my expectations. They were working with our wants and needs. We were able to move stuff around to make stuff bigger or smaller. We were able to put our thoughts together to build our dream house.

Areas For Improvement - They did not fall short of our expectations. The house came out beautiful and ahead of time. We were able to close before New Years'. Everything went smoothly. There is nothing bad to say about it.
