We live out of state, and it has been a super smooth process with Tilson Homes - Weatherford. We have received good communication from our superintendent. We have not felt stressed about not being able to see the home. We have not had any issues, and everything has gone smoothly. The EasyBuy program has been super helpful to allow us not to have to take out a construction loan.

Many problems from the site representatives and what was actually going to be put on the construction

The sales people repeatedly tell you things that are an absolute lie i.e. all the trades that build Tilson homes are Tilson employees. Additionally, several features that are talked about in detail and supposedly “noted” and included in the “custom” home plan are mysteriously missing from the plan the general contractor receives then the sales office will charge you hundreds of dollars as a penalty to add back on what they omitted. They also fail to tell you about the dumb, outdated and ugly “Tilson way” of building a house but you’ll find out what the “Tilson way” is when they’ve built it into your “custom” home and they refuse to change it, i.e. painting all door hinges, not properly laying a floor requiring the need quarter round AND caulking, door packages are not consistent throughout the house plus many other things.
