We chose Tom Adams to do the bulk of our house remodeling this past summer/ fall (Roof, Siding, Windows, Doors, Floors & Moldings). Bobbi Jo was incredible to work with when it came to helping us pick out all of our designs and materials. She is incredibly knowledgable, kind and patient which we were so appreciative of. We felt really confident with all of our decisions. Like most places these days, there was quite a wait-time between production/materials and scheduling but once things got started the process moved along pretty quickly. While we were very happy with a majority of the work but we did have a few issues come up. Each project was done by a different crew and we didn’t feel as though communication between all of the crews was up to our standards. There were several instances where we felt like we had to babysit the individual crews to make sure certain things were done right/not overlooked. We had a couple of windows/screens arrive with minor damage, and our doors were installed wrong as were all of our door handles. Not a huge deal, but what was most disappointing is that 1 + month since construction wrapped up, they still have not come back to fix them. It seems like once they were fully paid, they didn’t want to prioritize following up in a timely manners, citing our location as a reason for the long timeline to come back and make things right. The biggest disappointment was our molding installation- it was a rushed job and the work was sloppy. Not once did a crew manager come out to inspect the work and we had to wait a while to hear back from the service department for a resolution. All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Tom Adams but it’s important to be a strong advocate for yourself throughout the entirety of your project. For the amount of time and money spent, I don’t feel as though we should have run into as many problems as we did and that’s really been the biggest disappointment. Bobbi Jo was a great contact to have throughout the process as she was attentive and proactive in trying to make things right, but it was the service/installation itself that left a lot to be desired. In the end, we are pleased with our renovations and a majority of the work appears to be really well done.

We needed to replace our front door. The team discussed our options, and made the selection process so easy. They scheduled the measurements the following week, and we had our door installed flawlessly a few weeks later. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process and absolutely love our new door.

The project process started out good in the beginning, but it appeared that too many folks were involved afterward including the installation crew.

Quality Of Materials - Quality of the door is better than expected. Our door was a bit asked and the installer did an excellent job of installing the door for it to work properly We love the new door.

The quoting process was not pressure filled. I was given ample time to review the quote before having to make a decision.
I was kept informed of the delivery schedule.
Installation was hassle free. Technicians showed up when scheduled, worked around my household activities, and left the house as clean as it was when they arrived. They were very informative with respect to the window features and answered my numerous questions.

My house had settled and had some odd angles. They were not a problem. They left everything as clean as when they arrived. The doors were installed during an extreme heat wave. The temperature change was unbelievably noticeable as soon as the doors or windows were opened! I am so happy with my purchase and highly recommend Tom Adams!

Value - The price was expensive for me but less than their competitor. The quality of the doors and windows was excellent. The quality of the install was exceptional. and the doors and the windows are wonderful.

Work Done Right - The doors and windows were installed expertly. I changed the style of door handle as I liked the 2nd set of door handles better than the 1st set. The installation was perfect it was my preference that initiated the change order for the door handles and locks so one set of keys would address the entry.

Sales Knowledge - They walked me through the options, the requirements before the install and helped arrange financing which I couldn’t have done otherwise. I thought I could only afford one door without the screen door. I ended up getting all four doors and screen Charlotte/storm doors replaced, plus 2 casement windows. I couldn’t be happier!

Additional Comments - I would recommend shatterproof glass on the storm/screen door as one of the screen door windows shattered. I can only guess how it happened. The salesman, Tim Pokalsky, worked with us to choose the options and build a computer generated picture of how the new door and glass will look installed on our house. The final product and matches what we expected. It looks great and the quality far exceeds the builder grade door we replaced. The installation was excellent and the installers took care of everything. We are very pleased with the results.
