We needed to replace our front door. The team discussed our options, and made the selection process so easy. They scheduled the measurements the following week, and we had our door installed flawlessly a few weeks later. We couldn't be more pleased with the entire process and absolutely love our new door.

My house had settled and had some odd angles. They were not a problem. They left everything as clean as when they arrived. The doors were installed during an extreme heat wave. The temperature change was unbelievably noticeable as soon as the doors or windows were opened! I am so happy with my purchase and highly recommend Tom Adams!

Types of work - I had 2 doors & 2 storm/screen doors installed. Then I liked them so much I purchased the replacement of my other 2 doors, storm/screen doors and 2 casement windows.

Clean - They wore paper shoe coverings & laid down quilts to protect my floors.

Communication

Communication - I had a warranty issue and a request to change 2 of my door handles on 2 of my doors so I only need one set of keys for the doors. My request was addressed. The order was placed and the installation scheduled. The communication was excellent.

Quality Of Materials - The doors provided a tight seal & noticeably kept the extreme heat out. I love the way the screen door slides down for an easy transition to let in the breeze. Top quality.

Problem Resolution - One of the storm door windows shattered. I can only guess how it happened. It could’ve been from a neighborhood child’s ball or a bird that flew into it. I didn’t see or hear it. When I contacted Tom Adams I found it was covered by warranty, thankfully.

Value - The price was expensive for me but less than their competitor. The quality of the doors and windows was excellent. The quality of the install was exceptional. and the doors and the windows are wonderful.

Work Done Right

Work Done Right - The doors and windows were installed expertly. I changed the style of door handle as I liked the 2nd set of door handles better than the 1st set. The installation was perfect it was my preference that initiated the change order for the door handles and locks so one set of keys would address the entry.

Sales Knowledge - They walked me through the options, the requirements before the install and helped arrange financing which I couldn’t have done otherwise. I thought I could only afford one door without the screen door. I ended up getting all four doors and screen Charlotte/storm doors replaced, plus 2 casement windows. I couldn’t be happier!

Additional Comments - Initially, I contacted Renewal by Anderson to get a new door. Dealing with them was like getting a root canal—an extremely painful experience. I went to Tom Adams Windows and Carpet because they are a local company and have been in business since 1955, and I should've gone with them from the start. They are a great company and good to deal with.

Salesman was very knowledgeable and personable. Nineteen windows were installed in one day at the scheduled time. The problem was the quality of the product. The Privia windows, upon installation: three had visible cracks, four screens had tears, and three of the windows locks were broken. Tom Adams did address these problems promptly, but my confidence in our purchase and our decision to go with the Provia windows has been compromised. I cannot say that I would make the same decision if I had to make this major purchase all over again. I was really disappointed in the condition of the windows upon installation.
